1 Guy, 1 Girl, and a BABY

I think we definitely need to change our Blogging name now. It is no longer Kevin and I with one dog, we are a couple with TWO dogs and a baby!!! That's right we are expecting a baby GIRL in September! We couldn't be more happy!

Even though we wanted this to happen for such a long time, it was still a surprise!

We were having the missionaries over for dinner and I prepared a delicious crock-pot dinner for us that night. After I came home from work I was not feeling very well. I took a nap and when I woke up, the smell of dinner was making me so nauseated I decided just to go back to bed.

The next morning Kevin was having surgery on his ACL.

Before we went to the hospital, I felt that I should take a pregnancy test because what happened the previous night was NOT normal for me.

I went into the bathroom expecting the total opposite and came out crying and shaking in unbelief! Our emotions were all over the place!

The whole first trimester and beginning of the second trimester was very hard for me. I felt like this every night.

Poor Kevin would have to entertain himself and the dogs because I would be in bed or the bathroom all night.

Thankfully, as soon as I hit 20 weeks the night sickness stopped. Other than the sickness I have been feeling fantastic!

After our first doctor appointment we decided that it was safe to start telling our families. Kevin photo-shopped a baby into a picture of him and I. We went to our parents house and asked them what they thought about our new family portrait. Everyone was SO surprised!

Our little family has even grown over the past year... introducing our second puppy... JUNIOR!

We love our pups so much!

It's been a WONDERFUL two years, and we are SO excited to welcome our little sweetheart coming in September!

Hazel Leone Atterberry

Hazel Leone Atterberry passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009. She passed away at the age of 96. Granny was an amazing woman. She was a welder and worked on airplanes for the Air Force, served a full time mission, became a single mother to three children, she was also a WONDERFUL cook, musician and Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was so compassionate to everybody she came in contact with. I am glad we were able to celebrate her life and all that she has done for us. I hope that we can always remember Granny in all we do.

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting

Teachin with Style

Sorry it's been a while since we posted last, but not very many exciting activities going on here. As the school year is winding down( 6 days to be exact!), I have been thinking of a gift to give the teachers I work with. My SUPER creative sister Amanda found this idea on a blog she came across and she taught me how to make these adorable clipboards! She made 4 different ones and they turned out very cute! They are SUPER easy to make! It is not totally finished yet. I need to add a few things like the post IT note pad that goes inside the little square folder. I might also put some more decorations on it.

"The Cut"

As Spring is just around the corner I decided that I needed a change! After convincing Kevin that it would look nice, I finally got up enough courage to cut it! They took off 8 inches of hair! Five of my sisters went with me and they all had their hair worked on. Everyone's hair turned out very nicely! I am now officially a member of the short hair club! :)

"SLEEP"less in Seattle!

Have you ever had those times where you wake yourself up from laughing? I LOVE that feeling... This morning was a little different. Here's how it went down.

Kevin gets a call at 1:30 am from my dad to go out on a call with him. My dad asks, "Hey we just got a house call can you come with me?"

-Kevin replies, " No, I am out of town."
-Dad, "Oh sorry, where are you at?"
-Kevin, "I am in Seattle."
-My dad says, "You are?!"

So I am listening to all this and I shake Kevin and I am like, "WHAT are you talking about?!"
He sits up and thinks for a few seconds, and I say, "Just say YES!!" I am laughing so hard by this point! Needless to say, NyQuil and lack of sleep NOT a good idea!

This past Wednesday was my sister Anna's bridal shower. My sister Amanda hosted the party, there was good turn out! We played games, ate some good food, and embarrassed Anna just a bit!!

My game was way easier to win than I thought it would be. :(
