Thwarting Hidden Resume Hacks Targeting AI Hiring Tools
July 22, 2026An academic-industry collaboration featuring Assistant Professor Tianlong Chen identified 1 percent of resumes in a sample of 200,000 across multiple sectors as containing concealed instructions meant to exploit AI systems. Chen and his collaborators are developing several defensive strategies to combat prompt injection in resumes.
UNC Computer Science presents 41 papers at ACL and ICML 2026

UNC CS presents 24 papers at CVPR 2026
June 5, 2026UNC Computer Science personnel made a noticeable impact at the IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. Researchers from eight different labs presented a total of 24 papers, and UNC CS faculty members helped to organize nine conference workshops and gave keynotes at five others.
