Garry Bushell is a writer and broadcaster whose sharp, witty style inspired Roy Hudd to call him “the Max Miller of Fleet Street”. Barbara Windsor said his column was “unmissable”, adding “Garry never pulls his punches”, while Bob Monkhouse dubbed him “the sharpest, most knowledgeable TV critic in Britain”. Richard Littlejohn described him as “the best one-liner merchant in Fleet Street”.
GBX: the one man show – coming in 2026
Garry’s brand new one-man show Garry Bushell: Out Of His Box is a celebration of his life beyond the Bushell On The Box newspaper column and television shows. It begins in the hot-house of the late 70s rock music revolution and proceeds through the red-tops, rock management, TV and controversies to the big screen, radio and world tours.
