Create a project with 2 ‘ANISOSANDWICH’ layers and 1 central layer </p> <p>Each anisosandwich layer should be wedged between materials with dielectric properties measured perpendicular and parallel to the anisotropic axis. The Dynamics layer identifies the perpendicular and parallel cylinder materials. Each anisosandwich requires both a Cylinder.Perp and a Cylinder.Par layer. The order of these layers (above or below the anisosandwich layer) is not important. The convention for Rick’s cnt spectra is that the z-direction is parallel to the cylinder axis (Cylinder.Par).<br /> The Center layer represents the medium in which the two infinite cylinders are embedded.</p> <p>B. Calculate.</p> <p>C. Results</p> <p>Gecko Hamaker writes four result files for each anisotropic cylinders project calculation:</p> <p>projectnameA.spc – hamaker coefficient for the project you set up (i.e. for angle theta you enter on the parameters page)<br /> projectnameA0.spc – given so you can create hamaker coefficients for all angles<br /> projectnameA2.spc – given so you can create hamaker coefficients for all angles<br /> projectnameE.spc -- gives log10 of energy/kT – had to use log Energy because of Grams limited dynamic range.<br /> </p> <p>Note that if you do not fill in the cylinder radii, Radius1 and Radius2, the E is computed using default 1 nm radii.
