Tổng quát

Để kích hoạt tính năng hiển thị ngôn ngữ nước ngoài bạn phải chọn start => Control Panel => Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options => Add other languages

Hỗ trợ ngôn ngữ

Để hỗ trợ thêm cho các ngôn ngữ phức tạp và các ngôn ngữ từ trái sang phải, bạn cần phải chọn 1.
Để hỗ trợ thêm cho hầu hết các ngôn ngữ Đông Á, bạn cần phải chọn 2.

Cả hai tùy chọn cần các tập tin từ đĩa CD cài đặt Windows!

Lựa chọn 1. có thể cần một font đặc biệt phải được cài đặt thêm.
Lựa chọn 2. cài đặt các font bổ sung từ đĩa CD Windows, do đó bạn có thể sử dụng những ngôn ngữ ngay lập tức.

Bạn có thể chọn cả hai tùy chọn chỉ để đảm bảo bạn chẳng cần phải đi máng này một lần nữa.

Cài đặt Phông Tiếng Việt

Tiếng Việt là ngôn ngữ kịch bản phức tạp, cần kiểu chữ đặc biệt cài đặt.
Bạn cần cập nhật gói font trong CD cài đặt Windows XP SP3 đã được tính hợp sẵn.

Nếu bạn vẫn còn đang chạy Windows XP SP1 hoặc RTM, bạn cần làm theo lời chỉ dẫn để cập nhật thư viện tại Uniscribe.DLL

Chọn kiểu chữ

Để có thể hiển thị Tiếng Việt tốt, bạn cần chọn kiểu chữ hiển thị đúng cho cửa sổ văn bản.
Bạn thực hiện bằng cách chọn bắt đầu start => Control Panel => Appearance and Themes => Change the computer's theme => Appearance => Advanced.

Bạn cần đổi kiểu chữ ở các mục sau:

Active Title Bar
Menu
Message Box
Palette Title
ToolTip
