Why is an item stuck in the "pending" category? Why won't it finish?

Unchecking an installed item is the correct way to uninstall, right?

Thank you for notifying me of this problem and also for providing me with the solution.
I am using tkPacman with XFCE and never had this problem.
I will start working on a corrected version of tkPacman, but I will need some time because I have not been working on tkPacman for a long time and it now seems almost like a new project to me. Also, I will have to install an Archlinux system with KDE instead of the one with XFCE that I am using daily.

If a theme change the menubar colors, tkPacman ignore it by destroying by clearing the options.
This make the menubar and the menus looking like not integrated into the other elements of interface (see the capture).

This can be easily corrected by removing the "option clear" line 124 of main.tcl.

PacmanXG has similar feature ("Mark package as Explicitly installed/Installed as a dependency") and it's the only GUI for Pacman that has this feature but it's unmaintained and it's site is down and it's source code unavailable.

Your procedure works fine for me. Didn't occur to me to just press ENTER after entering a filter word.

It pleases me that you are happy with tkPacman.

I think that your suggestion is, in fact, partially implemented already.

If you type something in Word and then press ENTER, the corresponding radio button is indeed automatically selected.

Similarly, if you select a Group or a Repo, the corresponding radio button is also automatically selected.

So, I am not inclined do modify tkPacman in this respect. I hope this will not offend you.

This is a great app. I use it regularly. Thanks for developing and maintaining it.

One enhancement I'd like is in regards the filters. When I type in a Word, Group or Repo the radio button for the field be automatically selected.
