vlc tivo://[myIP]/plist

It opens my playlist, starts listing shows, and then when it hits the end of the list starts loading them again. The second and all subsequent loads don't show up on the playlist, but it does keep repeating the load ad infinitum until I click Stop.

Beyond this, if I click on any item in the Playlist, instead of loading

tivo://[myIP]/[FSID]

it loads

tivo/ty://[myIP]/FSID

Which generates errors, as apparently the modules don't know how to load it as "tivo/ty".

On the other hand, if I directly load from the command line

vlc tivo://[myIP]/[FSID]

or "Open a File" as

tivo://[myIP]/[FSID]

it works flawlessly.

So this seems to be just a problem with the Playlist and its interaction with Vstream/TY.c. Any ideas? I don't have this behavior in Windows, but there I'm running 0.8.5a, so this might be something new.

Archibald BaalFri, 06 Apr 2007 21:02:44 -0000https://sourceforge.net8575b0fcc827ce87a5e53bfa341f1a9324aaa730Aquileo | crashing VLC0.8.4 with .ty streamshttps://sourceforge.net/p/tivo-vlc/bugs/2/

I am playing .ty files from a UK TiVo and getting
frequent crashes of VLC 0.8.4. I have used the VLC-
the .ty file (even from the local HD on teh PC) will
play for anywhere up to 10 or 15 minutes and then
just freeze of stop. Sliding rapidly to another
position in the file will also often freeze up VLC...

Any ideas? Is there a known issue?

I have downloaded the compiled mac binaries for
libty_plugin.dylib and libvstream_plugin.dylib and
placed them in /Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/modules

every time I try to access my tivo with this command line:

./VLC tivo://tivo_IP_addy/plist

(where I have actually plugged in my tivo's IP)

I get the following:

[00000001] main vlc error: option rt-offset does not exist

I am currently using VLC 0.8.1, running on 10.3.8

Any suggestions, or am I just being dense?
