Aquileo | LILO based boot uses last kernel image

If there is no GRUB boot configuration file and/if the
system boots only with LILO (SuSE 7.x and such) the
last image-line of the /etc/lilo.conf is used to find the
kernel. Often this fails, since the image line contains not
a kernel but a memory test program.

The intended operation is use the first image-line of
the /etc/lilo.conf.

This bug affects also the network boot. When base
image is taken, the same, buggy method is used to
select the kernel to store on the server.

When taking a base image of a Windows
NT/W2K/XP system, The Rembo Wizard attempts to
read the SID-value of the system from the stored
archive image on the server. The value is stored
on the server in a file.

We have had a problem where the image is taken
without a problem but when The Rembo Wizard
attempts to read the SID-value, the call fails and the
execution of The Rembo Wizard's base image
backup programs stops without completion.

Unless the user has opened a console screen, the
problem passes unnoticed to the user. With the
console there is a message

VM Error: No such device

that appears on the console. The problem is that

1) The image, or at least the registry in it is
probably corrupted.

2) The description of the backup is never stored.

3) The SID value of the installation is never stored.

Aquileo | Win2K,XP not bootable on SCSI

After the restoration of an image taken on a Windows
NT,2000,XP, installed on a SCSI hard drive, the system
remains not bootable.

When giving Rembo command

SetBootablePartition(0,1);

the systems boots, normally.

Aquileo | New Windows XP installation fails

A base image of a Windows XP Prof. system is used
to install a new system on identical hardware. The
installation fails. Nothing gets written on the disk.

The same base image restoration works fine when
restored on the same machine where it was taken
from.
