Suggestion: add an option 'PrintSolutionInXML' (or whatever other term might be found to be better) and provide for an equivalent command-line option that overrides the absence of this option in the file.

This would replace the current output solution format with the <solution> entity of problemxml (or whatever the corresponding current entity is at present). I think the primary thing to get in place would be phase=solution; other phases can wait. </solution>

(Actually, I can imagine an 'EntireOutputInXML' that drops the board, but basically converts input format to ProblemXML format, adding solution in the process. But that's not as important as just getting a well-defined solution syntax.)

Why: The current output format is not specified. And this adds an element of uncertainty about any type of parsing of the output file from popeye.

I personally believe that nPa1 swapped with nPa8, or vice-versa, should keep both pawns in the same state as they were before the swap -- i.e., as nPs. (In otherwise orthodox chess -- Ps cannot be on those ranks; under other fairy conditions, also leave them as pawns, as the regular move [under the particular fairy rule in effect] that played each nP to its square left them as nPs already).
