The Windows binaries for OpenGrADS 2.2.1 have been refreshed to address an issue with the BACKSPACE key. All are encouraged to re-download. The other OS builds are not affected, this issue is specific of Windows.

We have just released the OpenGrADS Bundle version 2.2.1.oga.1 for Windows, macOS and Linux. This is a major release after a 2 year hiatus. This release fixes an earlier limitation that prevented access to https:// OPeNDAP sites and bring several new features such as dynamically linked graphical backends.

Aquileo | GrADS/VM: GrADS under the Java Virtual Machine

GrADS/VM is an EXPERIMENTAL version of GrADS that runs entirely under the Java Virtual Machine. GrADS/VM is based on the same C source code used in the other versions of GrADS and uses NestedVM for binary translation into Java Bytecode. we just upload the experimental GrADS/VM builds for versions 2.0.1 & 2.0.2 to sf.net. These can be found under then"Java" subdirectory of the grads2 package, e.g.,

Aquileo | OpenGrADS Bundle 2.0.2.oga.2 Released

We have just releasd the OpenGrADS Bundle version 2.0.2.oga.2 for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. This is a minor maintenance release which fixes a bug that prevented the proper reading of NetCDF files with levels having units as "hPa". It should now be able to read files from the MERRA reanalysis and NASA's GEOS-5 output. It also updates the OpenGrADS extensions to the same version as in the OpenGrADS v2.1.a2.oga.1 release.

Aquileo | Supplibs 2.3.1 Released!

A new release of supplemental libraries needed for building GrADS and ancillary packages (the so calleed "supplibs") is now available. Version 2.3.1 includes all you need for building GrADS 2.1.a2 and is available for Mac OS X, Linux, and soon Windows.

This OpenGrADS version is based on COLA's 2.1.a2 release with updates
in the OpenGrADS extensions. In particular we include the new "path"
extension with many convenient commands (and GrADS script functions)
for pathname maniputation and match and search & replace functionality
