The LogicalDOC Community development team is pleased to announce the release of the Community Extensions for LogicalDOC CE 8.9.1
This set of extensions expands the functionality of LogicalDOC Community making it much more effective and efficient in managing electronic documents.

In particular there are 3 new plugins that provide the following features:

logicaldoc-ce-parser (extracting text from many types of office documents)
logicaldoc-ce-ocr (OCR - extract text from images and PDFs for full-text searching)
logicaldoc-ce-converter (conversion of documents to other formats and for preview/thumbnail)

On GitHub, the Docker project for LogicalDOC CE v8.7.3 (https://github.com/logicaldoc/logicaldoc-ce) has been updated.

This new project has a lot more documentation than the previous ones, and it allows you to utilize the program in a variety of ways: Using an inbuilt database (HSQLDB) or external databases such as MySQL, Maria DB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL or Oracle.

When the containers are not running, the methods for data persistence (configuration and documents) and access to these have also been emphasized.

The Docker-Hub https://hub.docker.com/r/logicaldoc/logicaldoc-ce has a ready-to-use Docker container.
