I'm just wondering if it would be possible to enable more AAC features.

For example: the 17kHz cutoff in CBR mode (0), is it possible to disable this in FDK AAC and have it as an option in butt? I'm genuinely not sure if this is possible.

Another example: could you add more control over the VBR modes (1-5) that we can use?

I'm trying to go balls-to-the-wall with AAC in terms of quality.

Thank you for your time!

Aquileo | BUTT conecting...
BUTT shows dBFS. So you should make sure that the vertical black peak-hold bar does not reach 0. Otherwise you risk distortion.
The audio signal does reach BUTT directly. It also has to pass through audio settings of your operating system or audio driver. Please make sure that you did not set any gain or attenuation there. Also have a look at the audio settings of BUTTs internal mixer.

Best,
Most of my DJs ( and i mean 99% of them) can connect fine and have no problems. There is that 1% that are just really having difficulties staying connected ( note i said staying connected). They can connect with BUTT no problem but then they are loosing connecting which in turn disconnects them from Radio DJ and then I have to connect them remotely again.

I would like to ask if their is something they have to ensure they are doing on BUTT that we havent been able to figure out already that can help them so they dont disconnect.
Obviously we know they have to have a stable internet connection and also. i have told them to be hardwired in where possible via ethernet cable.

It is just a select few DJs and its absolutely causing me distress in trying to understand why they are having trouble especially as they have used BUTT before and havent seemed to have problems.

I have asked the same question in the RADIO DJ forum, however i know that from their end, the program is working completely as should be.
As it is a connection issue then i feel it is from the end of BUTT and the workings on these DJs side with their setup and BUTT.

Any advice would be majourly appreciated

Aquileo | Auto schduel to turn BUTT on and OFF2024-05-08T16:29:08.226000Z2024-05-08T16:29:08.226000ZTom Dobrezhttps://sourceforge.net/u/tdobrez/https://sourceforge.net47792d53ef5aa1ab0b77e08f2e7fa1a5b26bb257

IS there a means to set a automation scheduler to turn the BUTT stream on and off at certain times?

Aquileo | #52 BUTT not broadcasting on version 0.1.37 and above on MacBook with M1 chip2024-04-20T11:31:41.329000Z2024-04-20T11:31:41.329000ZDaniel Nöthenhttps://sourceforge.net/u/vc-bipak/https://sourceforge.net8fdadef8181b86c1f58eaa6dd506a261f48e5e93

Hello Paul,

please provide more information. There is no known issue with M* processors. It works fine on my M1 Macbook Air (Ventura) and M1 Max (Sonoma) and no one else has reported issue so far.
So it must be individual problems.

What does "not broadcasting" mean exactly?
Try to explain in more detail what you do and what is happening.

It would be best if you could provide a screen recording that demonstates the issue.
