Investigators

Jonathan S. Skinner is a James O. Freedman Presidential Professor in the Department of Economics, Dartmouth College, and a professor in the Department of Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine. His research focuses on government transfer programs, health care technology, disparities in health care, and saving behavior. He has been an NBER affiliate since 1985.

Marcella Alsan, who is both an economist and a physician, is a professor of Economics at Stanford University. Her research focuses on the causes and consequences of racial disparities in health care usage and health outcomes.

Amitabh Chandra is the Henry and Allison McCance Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. His research focuses on innovation and pricing in the biopharmaceutical industry, value in health care, and racial disparities in health and health care.

David Cutler is the Otto Eckstein Professor of Applied Economics at Harvard University. His research interests include the determinants of health status and longevity, the economics of health care delivery, and health policy.
