It’s been mighty cold in New Jersey. After seeing lots of inspiring frozen bubble photos, I decided to give it a try. While mighty cold, it was fascinating and beautiful to see the gorgeous patterns emerge as the bubble froze. Many of the unfrozen bubbles were also pretty, and I decided to use Photoshop to merge bubbles with my bird photos.
I love this time of year!

I love when the various types of Egrets return to the area! I love watching them fly, catch fish, and displaying their beautiful wings. Here are some that I’ve taken this month. We had a very mild February in central, NJ. with several days in the upper 60s and even low 70s. Sadly it didn’t last into March. Instead, a nasty snowstorm and bitter cold weather. I took some of these pictures on the day of the storm and the days following. The warm weather cannot get here soon enough!

USarts is an exhibition at the Margaret Harwell Art Museum in Poplar Bluff, MO. The show features work from each of the fifty states, and I am very proud to represent the state of New Jersey with fiber. For more information on the show, visit their website here.

I took these from my backyard in central, NJ at different times throughout the night (on September 16th into the wee hours of the 17th). What a lovely night it was!
