Hello everyone,
I recently participated in the TCS Ignite 2025 hiring process and wanted to share my experience. Hopefully, this helps aspirants who are preparing!
Note: As per my knowledge, the TCS Ignite exam is conducted twice a year — first in February and again in June. So, if you miss the first chance, do keep an eye out for the second.
I appeared in the June 2025 round, and here’s my timeline:
Round 1: Online Test
Date: 14th June 2025
Mode: In-center, via TCS iON platform
Sections:
- Numerical Ability
- Verbal Ability
- Reasoning Ability
- (Optional) Coding section – languages included C, C++, Java, Python
Round 2: Documentation Check
Date: 7th July 2025
Process: Required to visit a TCS Center and verify academic records (10th, 12th, graduation mark sheets), government ID proof, and application form.
Round 3: Interview
Date: 8th July 2025
Duration: I was in the 1 PM batch, but my interview started around 5 PM — so be prepared for delays.
Panel: HR, MR, and TR.
Some questions asked:
- Tell me about yourself.
- Which technical language do you prefer? (I said Python – they asked about the latest Python version).
- Write a simple program on paper (e.g., swapping numbers without using a temporary variable).
- Are you comfortable relocating? Are your parents comfortable with it?
- Are you comfortable working night shifts?
Offer Letter
Date: August 2025
- I first received an email to submit a list of documents. After successful verification, I got my offer letter.
- In my case, I received it within 3 days, but this timeline may vary depending on the HR assigned to you.
Background Verification (BGV)
- After the offer letter, the next step was BGV through the TCS NextStep portal.
- This involves uploading documents for verification such as academic records, government IDs, and other required proofs.
- Once BGV is cleared, the joining letter will be issued (timeline not fixed).
