Google Interview Experience(Phone Round) | Application Engineering Intern | 2024

Last Updated : 15 Oct, 2024

I received a phone interview call from Google for an application engineering internship today. It was mainly focused on my introduction and questions related to my resume.

  1. Firstly, the interviewer asked whether it was a good time to talk.
  2. Then she asked me to introduce myself and what are my skills.
  3. After that, she asked me where I see myself in the next 2 years.
  4. She asked me whether I had worked on any large datasets.
  5. Then she shifted to my projects and internships and asked about it and what technologies I have used so far.
  6. She also asked about the number of programming languages I have used and what motivates me to go forward with C++ (as I mentioned earlier, I have done DSA in C++).
  7. After that some more questions about my projects. She asked me to briefly describe my internship projects as well as my personal projects.
  8. What are the steps required to design a website? What steps would you take if you were given an application to build, along with a flowchart?
  9. Then she asked whether I would be comfortable in an online interview between 17 Oct to 24 Oct. She also told me that it possibly happen both interviews on the same day, so I am okay with that.
  10. She told me that the questions in further interviews will be mainly focused on problem-solving and coding as well as in the designing part.

The interviewer was very cooperative and she suggested to me how to prepare and also gave me honest feedback about my interview.

Overall it was a nice interview, I fumbled with some questions but the interviewer took it in a good and cooperative manner.

Let's see what happens next. Hoping for the best!!!
