Cognizant Interview Experience for Gen-Pro (On-Campus)

Hello Everyone! Cognizant visited our campus in March 2024 for on-campus hiring. The recruitment process consisted of five rounds: Screening, Communication, Aptitude, Technical, and Interview. The process was open to 2025 graduates, and candidates could apply for different roles: GenC (4 LPA), GenC-Pro (5.4 LPA), and GenC-Next (6.75 LPA).

Recruitment Process Overview

  1. Screening
  2. Communication Round

  4. Technical Interview 1
  5. Technical Interview 2

Round 1: Screening

  • While applying, selecting "No" for relocation or technology preferences could result in not being shortlisted.
  • Ensure that the 10th and 12th passing years are correctly mentioned.

Round 2: Communication Round

  • This round was not an elimination round for my batch.

Round 3: Aptitude Round

  • Consisted of 30 aptitude problems.
  • There was a cutoff in this section, and time management was key.
  • After aptitude, there were game-based questions such as:
  1. Deductive Challenge
  2. Switch Challenge
  3. Grid Challenge
  • Out of 24 games, 4 games were randomly chosen.
  • Reaching at least level 9-10 in each game was recommended.

Tip: OnlineStudy4U channel provides sufficient preparation for this round.

Round 4: Technical Interview 1 (as java cluster is default but most of the members got cluster 2- Python)

  • In this round there will be 14 questions-2 sql,2 coding(any langauge) 10 cloud computing questions. For GenC role you must solve minimum 3 questions like 2 sql or 1code,2 code or 1 sql, but better to solve all 4.
  • If you solve 14 questions you will get GenC-Next role only if u percentage meet the requirements (for Genc — 60% and Genc pro and next 70% minimum in every thing)for interview. If you selected for this role you will have an additional round-some advanced coding problems.
  • I am from CSE-IT.I solved 2 sql,2 Python code 14/14 questions. As i am having less than the min requirement in my 12 th, I am selected for Genc role.

Round 5: Technical Interview 2

  • Self-introduction.
  • Basics of Lists, Dictionaries, Arrays, Strings, Mutable vs. Immutable (with examples).
  • OOPs concepts and Python basics.
  • Scenario-based question:
    • If a client has a project ready, but you don’t know the required technologies, how will you manage it? How long will it take for you to learn the required technology?
  • Final Questions:
    • Are you ready to relocate?
    • Do you have any questions?

Additional Information

  • I applied on Feb Interview happned on March 4th,Received result on March 11th.
  • There will be more time between each round so prepare well.
  • If you interviewed for GenC-next and if you had not done well, you may get GenC or nothing.
  • If you interviewed for GenC-pro and had not well,you are rejected.

Final Outcome

After going through the Cognizant hiring process, I am pleased to share that I have been selected for the GenC-Pro role with a 5.4 LPA package. I am thrilled about this opportunity, as it aligns well with my career goals and offers great growth potential
