My path to competitive exam well-being is my own.
This essay will focus more on process rather than TOPPER ADVICE / GUIDANCE, also note I'm no topper just speaking as an elder brother.
- In case you haven't started prep till now, trust me you still have time, but provided you are ready to work harder than an average 12th grader, you can make it through, treat yourself as a dropper but with more time, you will get multiple occasions to complete your 11th backlog, i.e. summer holidays, Diwali vacation, winter holiday, but you need to utilize them.
- Follow your teacher blindly - trust me when I say this but they know 100times more than you and rather than running behind in books like Cengage or DC Pandey, please listen to them and only solve the material/questions that they tell you, remember, you're not the unique one they have deal with multiple students like you and helped them reach IIT.
- START 12TH CLASS PREPARATION ASAP - this is one blunder that many commit that is starting 12th late, and the reason they give is my syllabus isn't complete. trust me for physics and math, even if you know basics till NCERT level, you can easily manage 12th, from chemistry - YES you do need prerequisites which I will mention below
- NOW FOCUS ON CHAPTERS WHICH WILL HELP YOU IN THE 12TH - especially for chemistry (organic chemistry) start doing those chapters that will help in the 12th, I have mentioned some chapters in the last do them, or else your 12th will be ruined.
- NOT GIVING TESTS - a blunder that most students make especially those studying online commit. Please it is a request never skip tests, always give them. They are like a mirror and show you your reality, and do not let you live in delusion. Many students don't give tests and give an excuse that they have not completed the whole syllabus that will be asked in the test, my question to you guys is, you haven't even completed a single chapter for the test. At least 1 chapter you might have done, no problem still gives a test, attempt those questions from the chapters which you have studied, if you can't score in them then something is wrong. Also, analyze those tests.
- REVISION & CONSISTENCY - can't stress enough how important it is to revise a topic multiple times and also stay consistent in your studies, trust me if you have these 2 qualities in you, no one can stop you not only in Jee but also for achieving success in other domains of life, many people just study the topic and don't revise, please guys make sure you all revise multiple times. The best way to revise is by making short notes and practicing questions, not all questions but you can start marking important questions that you overcome while studying a chapter, and use them for revision, it helps trust me.
- TAKE BREAKS - important part of the preparation, but please don't scroll Instagram or Facebook, or chat with friends on Messenger, worst way to relieve stress. even eating or listening to music is not a good way to release stress. go out for a walk instead.
- SLEEP - get 6-7 hours of sleep, trust me it helps you focus better, let others sleep for 4-5 hours, you take proper naps, those people will realize the importance of sleep when they grow old and start getting aged early.
- SCHOOL EXAMS ARE IMPORTANT !! -yes this is the truth, the reason is that when you study for school exams, you at least open NCERT to study, which helps you to clear the basic level, and up to some extent even assists you in Jee mains preparation
- SCHOOL IS A TRAP - Go only 4-5 days a week rest stay at home and study, but yeah this doesn't mean you play games or waste time on that holiday, if that is the case then better go to school.
As I embark on a preparation schedule for JEE Mains 2024. I'm excited to get started(already completed some tasks) on this challenging yet rewarding journey. Here's my Today plan: Total Study Time: 9-10 hours.
JEE Main Syllabus
One step is to segregate the topics in each subject into class 11 and class 12 to allow for common preparation for both board and entrance exams. Second, the topics from the JEE Main syllabus must be divided into easy, tough, and very tough so that the how to prepare for the JEE Main plan is made accordingly.
Plan to segregate JEE Main 2024 Syllabus is :
Divide into Class 11 syllabus and Class 12 Syllabus
Divide the topics into "Don't Know- have to learn", Weak, and Strong
Check weightage-wise topics and segregate them in the preparation plan accordingly.

The goal can be reached only if you traverse every path that leads to success in JEE Main 2024.
Exam Day Tips For Jee Mains:
First of all, Stay Cool... I know it's the first major exam of your life but you have got to keep your mind stress-free and relaxed. If you fumble during or before the paper, your 2 years of preparation will be good for nothing, so stay relaxed.
Necessary info and guidelines for Exam Centre - Do not wear tight clothes such as Jeans, try to wear pajamas and T shirt for boys and Kurta for girls. Even if you decide to wear Jeans, do not wear belts, they will ask you to remove them. The watch is also not necessary, some centers may ask you to remove your watch too. Do not forget to carry your Admit Card and Aadhar Card.
Also, make sure your Aadhar Card has your complete DOB on it. Once you enter the center, get in line to get your fingerprint scanned. Most of the time, it may fail to recognize your fingerprint, now here the panicking starts (faced this too, this small panic destroyed my entire Jee mains session 2), so try to keep yourself calm and composed, and believe me, no matter what happens, you will give your mains paper on your designated day.
Giving THE EXAM - So after going to your designated Seat, they will give you Rough Sheets. Do not, I repeat, do not forget to write your name, application ID, and your signature on each rough sheet (if not written it may cause a bit of a problem later). So after doing all this work, your test will begin after you enter your password which is your DOB. Stay calm and first analyze the entire paper and start with the subject you think will take less time and then do the lengthy questions in the last. When done with the paper, submit it and relax. You have just completed your first Jee mains paper. Do not discuss the paper with anyone, go straight towards your parent's car and chill.
After the paper - Do not start grinding for Boards or Mains session 2 from the very next day. Give yourself 2 days off to relax your brain.
And I guess this is all.
Best of luck to all of you guys ??
