President Obama has been the most pro-abortion President in history. He has forced taxpayers to fund abortions and pay for embryonic stem cell research that kills human life.

In Congress there is a bill that would be a major victory for the pro-life movement. The “Abortion Nondiscrimination Act” (ANDA) would create permanent protection for medical professionals who believe that abortion is murder.

Currently, nurses are being bullied into helping perform abortions against their will. While there is already a bill containing a conscience clause, it must be renewed annually and is being bypassed by the courts and the Obama administration.

But the Abortion Nondiscrimination Act (ANDA) would make it the protections permanent and stop the political games.

The bill is currently in committee, awaiting approval.

TAKE ACTION:

Contact the House of Representative’s Subcommittee on Health today and urge that they support this important bill that respects the convictions of our medical professionals. Click here to contact the committee today.

Hi all! It’s been a while since I last posted something here. I have had a tough semester at my university. My piece of advise for those thinking of taking seven college classes (with two core science courses) and working 24 hours a week… enter with caution. Not that it’s impossible (cause I did it with A’s and B’s), but it’s very stressful. I started really “feeling” it by week 6. I am sooo glad the semester is almost over! I’ve got two more finals.

Anyway. That’s not what I am here to share with you. I took a U.S. Government class this semester and the professor had us do a literature review citing academic sources using Chicago Manual–I never did either. I had to learn how to do it. Now I can officially say I have learned how to cite in all the different ways available. 🙂

So I wanted to share my literature review with you. Drop some comments too. What would you have done differently? What do you think? Look forward to reading your feedback.

PRESS RELEASE: New Movie Exposes Government Invasion of American Families

Washington, D.C., November 17, 2011 –

Today, ParentalRights.Org released an online docudrama, Overruled: Government Invasion of Your Parental Rights, which outlines today’s dangers facing American parents in their ability to direct the upbringing and education of their children.

The film, which runs 35 minutes at OverruledMovie.com, focuses on three real-life American family cases in which parental rights were egregiously violated by the government: a medical care case, an educational freedom case, and a religious freedom case. The movie also warns against adoption of the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child. This treaty would override virtually all child and family laws in the United States and grant ultimate authority to international bureaucrats. Overruled describes why the adoption of the proposed Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is the only means to halt the parental rights violations which are taking place all over America.

i
“American parents just assume that their traditional right to make sound decisions for their children is fully protected in our legal system,” said Michael Farris, President of ParentalRights.org. He added, “Overruled reveals how precarious our rights are in today’s legal climate – and the movie makes it clear that we can and must fix the problem before it is too late.”

i
Fortunately, the American people overwhelmingly support traditional parental rights. A Zogby poll last year that surveyed over 2,000 people found that 93% of Americans agree with the traditional definition of parental rights, which is the ability to raise their children free from government interference so long as no abuse or neglect is taking place.

Farris said, “We need to capitalize on this strong support all across the country and pass the Parental Rights Amendment to prevent government officials from unnecessarily interfering with families.” Scott Scharpen, the film’s Executive Producer and chairman of the board of ParentalRights.Org, was proud to announce that Overruled is presented by ParentalRights.Org, a non-profit grassroots organization focused on passing the Parental Rights Amendment. Overruled is available online free of charge at OverruledMovie.com.

“Forever Changed” film by ACLJ:

“In My Seat” video. A pilot’s story from 9/10 and 9/11:

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)

Monsanto

USDA

FDA

They are all connected. If GMO foods are not labeled for consumers, how will we know what we are eating? We just won’t. Many Americans have no idea what are GMOs, much less what they are eating, because the FDA finds GMOs “safe for consumption.” This is just flat out wrong. I wrote and presented an Illustrated Oratory speech on this topic in high school and when I competed in NCFCA Speech and Debate. I was able (with God’s doing) to take this speech all the way to the National semi-final round, getting 15th place in the nation.

There is a new film in production about GMOs and the need for labeling these genetically modified foods, so people have the choice to choose what they eat.

Conference on the U.S. Constitution with Rick Green

It sure is funny how history repeats itself–especially in the wrong ways… Below is an audio video of Obama IMMITATING Carter in his own speeches. It kind of makes you wonder if Obama is “studying” Carter. Hmmm….

Republican presidential candidate, Jon Huntsman, says he is all out pro-life. He even has a “healthy pro-life record,” but after refusing to sign the Susan B. Anthony List Pledge, pro-lifers should no longer consider giving their vote to him (and other candidates who also did not sign the pledge) next November.

Read The Blaze report on this story:

HUNTSMAN CONFIRMS SUPPORT FOR EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH, REFUSES TO SIGN PRO-LIFE PLEDGE

Former Utah governor and current presidential candidate Jon Huntsman has what many deem a healthy pro-life record, but his recent, yet mild, support for embryonic stem cell research and his refusal to sign a prominent organization’s pro-life pledge may have a negative impact on his image among social conservatives.

Huntsman has been open and honest regarding his views on the GOP’s role in the pro-life movement. Earlier this month,Huntsman said the following to an audience at this year’s Faith and Freedom Coalition in Washington, D.C.:

“I do not believe that the Republican Party should only focus on our economic life, to the neglect of our human life. That is a trade we should not make.

If Republicans ignored life, the deficit we will face is one that is much more destructive. It will be a deficit of the heart and soul.”

Watch his remarks below:

Following this conference, the presidential candidate has created some angst, though, for pro-life advocates. According to LifeSiteNews.com, Huntsman spokesperson Tim Miller recently prepared a statement regarding embryonic stem cell research. While Miller writes that the former governor opposes funding for new lines that would harm embryos, he is not entirely closed off to embryonic research:

[Huntsman] “is a passionate supporter of stem cell research,” [and that he supports federal funding] “for lines that have a demonstrated history of success—adult stem cells, non-embryonic stem-cells and certain types of embryonic stem cell research.”

While this point may be concerning to some in the pro-life movement, it is Huntsman’s refusal to sign the Susan B. Anthony List’s “Pro-Life Presidential Leadership Pledge” that seems more controversial. The pledge, intended to reinforce candidates’ promises not to support abortion measures, will likely become a litmus test for some Americans who plan to only vote for those candidates who have signed it.

SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser was less than pleased with Huntsman’s refusal. In a statement, she said:

“It is extremely disappointing to see another candidate who is running on a pro-life message refuse to sign the promise to voters that he will act as a leader for our movement if elected to the White House.”

The release goes on to say the following:

Huntsman came out publically not long after announcing his candidacy to say that he does “not sign pledges,” an explanation that is not sitting well with pro-life Americans.

“In order to become President of the United States one has to take the pledge of all pledges: the Presidential oath of office,” Dannenfelser explained.  ”So really, Huntsman does take pledges, just not the kind which address specific issues he will face if elected President.”

Huntsman, of course, is not the only Republican candidate not to sign the pledge. Earlier this month, The Blaze reported on Mitt Romney’s refusal to do so. Herman Cain and Governor Gary Johnson also decided not to add their names to the list. That said, Rep. Michele Bachmann, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, Rep. Ron Paul, former Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Sen. Rick Santorum all signed on.

With fiscal matters at the forefront of the 2012 race already, it is difficult to assess just how important abortion will be when people head to the polls next year. But, for many, the issue remains at the forefront of their electoral decision-making. While Huntsman — like his peers who have declined being signatories — has certainly disappointed many, perhaps his record on the matter will speak for itself.
