Removed Comment Yeah, the problematic parts are: 1. There is footage of USA-styled missiles striking the adjacent base but not the school itself. 2. The IRGC wouldn't allow reporters anywhere near the site. 3. The IRGC thrmselves layed the evidence "recovered from the wreckage while nobody was looking" out on a table themselves. So as much as I hate the Trump administration, I cannot dismiss the plausibility of the IRGC killing a school full of little girls themselves solely for optics. We also cannot rule out Israeli involvement because while it is somewhat out of their range it is definitely their MO. I actually wish they had caught footage of the school being hit so we could say with certainty one way or the other. by FiniteBanjo@feddit.online

Removed Comment No, silicon valley exposed the world to the idea that businesses and private interests are inherently good, responsible organizations that can be trusted with personal information. Those same people have monitored us all, sold our rights, work with fascists to avoid blocks on the same behavior by the government, and threatens all global democracy with technofeudalism. Techbros need to be dragged into the street and beaten until they are so fucked up they rely on the very services that they are taking from us. by ChicoSuave@lemmy.world

Removed Comment Perfectly, but the post read as if they had discovered a new fast charging hack by freezing the batteries. Which made it seem quite silly. by stoy@lemmy.zip

Removed Comment It's clearly slower to charge when battery is cold. They had 20% to 97% take 12 minutes, while in normal conditions to took 9 minutes to charge from 10% to 97%. Also notice that they actually bending the numbers a bit to make them look better, they started with 20% in winter and started with 10% normal weather. So no, freezing does not give you an advantage when charging. by takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Removed Comment Storing batteries for 24 hours in -30C was to replicate a harsh winter time. It isn't necessary for charging. by takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Removed Comment No… dude… they are saying at normal temperatures it fast charges from 10-97% in 9 minutes. The frozen bit was them showing even completely frozen the fast charging still works in an acceptable amount of time. (12m, only a 33% increase in charge time) by TowardsTheFuture@lemmy.zip

Removed Comment If this is some sort of joke I am confused why. Idk if you can’t ready but weirdly you don’t need to store the car in a -30c freezer for 24 before charging it every time. It was 12m from frozen, down from the normal 9m when not frozen, showing it being cold does not destroy charging performance (though that is 133% of the normal time) by TowardsTheFuture@lemmy.zip

Removed Comment No joke, that is exactly what they did according to the post. They stored the batteries in minus -30c for 24h and charged them for 12 min. The post made it seem like that was supposed to be a miracle hack to fast charging. by stoy@lemmy.zip
