I feel like I'm missing some big clue cause I'm totally stuck on the last 5. (rot13 to decode)

It was very fun to play! I'm on the hunt for research-based games where you need to make notes and connections to be able to finish the story. I'm very happy that other Owlskip's games are on Steam! Definitely going to check The Ratline asap!!
It is such a great game with such a fantastic OST... The vibe of each band just feels so good! And the details within each text are also very awesome when I look back at them afterwards. Love the last letter of Ella, the words are so touching. (PS. OMG I downloaded The Ratline demo (i forget when) from Steam and played it and very enjoyed it. So imagine my surprise when but I viewed all your games to find that The Ratline is also a fun game made by Owlskip Games!!
That was thoroughly enjoyable and absorbing. Love some of the songs! The Clarisse Montag song I wanted to hear more of the story. Thank you for creating such a sophisticated and interesting game. I have a Mac so I don't get to download so I'm very grateful to get to play it.
a lot of fun and i loved the vibe, but I couldn't finish it. I was down to two musicians and knew who one of them was, but I tried everyone for the other missing person and none of them worked. not sure if I missed something or if it was some kind of glitch, but the game itself was great!
I loved this. As someone else noted, subtitles would be helpful for the interviews, but also having the lyrics/liner notes for the songs would be helpful. I know that's more work, but even just plopping them in a folder to sift through would be fun. A few times I could tell when one person was singing about someone else, and it made me wonder if I was missing it in some of the other songs. Just an idea. Very engaging and wistful sort of game. Whoever wrote the song for Klanger AND whoever sang it: 5 stars. Such a hit. I want to download it for real!
Agreed! I really fell in love with all the different band singles. Dova Pavlova's sound really rocked (and The Watercolours, so ethereal). Would love an OST release! I played this literally convinced these were real bands...only to google them afterwards and be disappointed. xD Bravo! Amazing puzzle game.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS its a bit of a shame tbh,, i got all the way through with 29 out of 30 and it wont let me solve the last person, i really wish i could have seen the ending but over all it was a wonderful experience and id love to see more!!
Really fun game! love deduction games like this one. would really appreciate subtitles of some kind for the radio bits, couldnt always understand the interviewing but i wanted to!
This was an incredible experience! I loved it through and through, what an amazing piece of multimedia. It is quite a gift to have this free to play. This was very wonderful. Thank you very much!
surprised i dont see any other comments about this so it makes me wonder if im missing something, but im playing on windows and i cant see any way to adjust it. which is troubling because straight off the bat the title screen music and opening cutscene are *way* louder than the sound once im into the actual game.
im sure this has been asked a million times, but will there ever be a version with a smaller screen? i just cannot access all ofthe information, and this looks like a perfect game otherwise. Thank You!
omg I remember playing this years ago when it first came out and I could never find this game again, I kept remembering it and trying to search and found NOTHING. I was reminded again of this recently bc of that Roottrees game and I just randomly stumbled on this again. Congrats on making a really memorable game lol
Like it a lot. Definitely leaves you wanting more, but in a good way; you definitely feel like you're getting more than you paid for with the lovely music. Great aesthetic and all a lot of fun. I am also entirely with Gail in her thoughts on Thatcher.
I was recommended this game because I just recently released a mystery game involving a lot of text and some custom music, and someone mentioned it reminded them of this.
I love your radio station story structure and the voice acting and music was all incredible. Fantastic work!
I've got another comment somewhere down there, but I have to give an update.
First of all, I was fortunate enough to have this game when it was free (and free is always worth it but damn what a free game it was!)
After always having it on my laptop (don't think I'll ever be deleting it actually), I decided to give it a revisit after a couple of years. Went in with no memory of who was who and where they belonged.
There's no need to listen to any of the songs or the radio interview, actually. I just realised that from playing it once again. There are clues littered everywhere. Everything is gotten from the text snippets and band descriptions. You can breeze through the entire thing in about 20 minutes or less if all you want to do is figure everything out (and you can, just pay attention to what's written). But you'll miss out on so much. The labour of love that went into the songs and voice acting in this game is amazing. This is by no means a shoddy game and it's more of an experience than anything else.
Think Obra Dinn, but with music. That's about the best as I can describe this little gem. Don't care if it isn't THAT replayable, I, for one, haven't deleted it yet and will continue to keep it on my laptop if for nothing else than the songs. (And believe me, in about 6 months I'm gonna forget who is who and where they go in any case so I'll be playing through it yet again!)
Tim, kudos to you and your team and the amazing batch of musicians who dedicated their efforts toward this.
Finally played and finished it after the tab lingering in my browser for months =) Loved the game, apart from the excellent and accomplished detective game design, the great production of music and radio segments was what really struck me. I would be crazy proud to have made such a thorough stylization.
This was a lot of fun, although at the end there was one band member left for me where I was clueless (Dova Pavlova - drums). For everyone else I found that the clues were decipherable (but damn, it took me ages to finally realize what the clue for Klanger - synth was), but here I had to guess, because I felt like it was my only option. But maybe I was just blind? Anyway, I'm glad John Walker from "Buried Treasure" pointed me here, I definitely didn't regret buying the full version and am looking forward to checking out "Rivals" in the weeks to come.
This was very cool and very well done. I ended up beating it after realizing two things about the synth player in Klanger and the drummer in Dova Pavlova. Really cool game, thank you. I love that this genre might take off after all.
Hi! Any chance I could contact you to ask a question about this (don't want to spoil anything publicly)? I made the same connection, but I think I'm still missing one tiny thing...

If you're talking about the trio, try swapping the two known musicians around.
great game!! the last two musicians were quite tricky, but i enjoyed trying to figure them out!

Absolutely loved this! Wonderful play :)

Nice, noted
Please add subtitles as an option
this is such a lovely play, absolutely adored the music and the puzzles were just the right amount of challenging :)
Thanks!

Thanks!
You mean to tell me that Rich was not an artist in the Pop Scene this entire time??
So happy to have found this! Was on a hunt for Roottree style games, and loved this. Such a vibe!
Very welcome, check out the Ratline
this really, really needs a way to control the volume

I zoomed out, and it worked well at 80%!
such a neat little detective game - really enjoyed this!
so much effort put into this game! love the music!
This was amazing to play! It has a really personal touch and I enjoyed the effort that was put into making the radio snippets and the songs <3

What a lovely comment, thanks so much for this. Do try my new game The Ratline if you have time.
this such a good game omgg
amazing art/music direction and fun detective game!
Hey that's great, thanks
I'm shocked at the lack of Roottree comparisons.
Really enjoyed this. Absolutely loved the music, which was a killer soundtrack to piecing together the puzzle.

This was a very nice experience. Short and sweet game. Good job!
Beautifully observed 80s indie scene detective fun. Sweet!
Great game. Just a note here to confirm that it works for me on the latest macOS Big Sur.
Nice!

Found this game through the Rivals steam page, and loved it! Short, sweet, and I didn't have to look anything up.
Nice work!

Of course, no problem! You can DM me on Twitter if you like, I'm at @videospacegames
Cool, will do. Think we need to be following each other.
This was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed playing it.
Very welcome!
