Ah, I didn’t consider that, I’ll update my post.

I meant AI as a normal person would know it today.

Ukraine is fucking awesome!

General Generative AI can be summarized as “quantity over quallity”

PC, it is by far the most flexible computing device out of the two.
I have no idea of if it would be reliable or not, but assuming it to be 100% reliable in this fantasy and that I had a place to park it.
An 80s convertible BMW or Mercedes Benz, with an automatic gearbox, and integrated carplay.
I love the double circular headlights of the BMW style at the time…
Then we have the gorgeous 450SL from Mercedes…
These are well before my time, I only got my license at 35 back in 2022…
If I had the time, space and money, I’d want three cars, my current 2021 Seat Leon FR PHEV Hatchback, a classic convertible BMW/MB from the 80s or so, and a modern Suzuki Jimny

No 1 looks like an old cottage that someone ruined with by putting in modern windows and doors.
No 6 looks fairly normal, yes, it is from the 70s, but that means that it works well with modern windows and doors, it looks definitely the most like a normal summer home in Sweden.
EDIT:
The rest are just weird architectural statement pieces on the theme of a summer home.
Not to say that they all look bad, some looks great, but most looks kinda overdone

I mean, this is just crap marketing from incompetent idiots.
A better marketing strategy would be to have Spiderman themes for the infotainment, and i don’t just mean a generic Spiderman wallpaper and icons, no, make an Avenger’s computer UI design that fits the theme, complete with themed sound and lighting effects. The tech is there, don’t just limit it to just displaying a video.
You could easily do that for different movies/brands without it being seen as marketing slop.
I mean if they wanted a themed UI from the Agents of Shield franchise they could make a Shield one and a Hydra one. When selecting the Hydra, the lightshow could make it look as if Hydra is taking over the car.
But good marketing today is a lost art, slap a video on everything, produce a shitload of crappy stickers with the generic logo of the film, produce from low quality “limited edition” collectors item…
This is just boring, but make the movie universe seem real, and you got a hook that will not only work, but actually be praised.

The EU should ban this crap as soon as possible, it is clearly a distraction from driving
I am a Swede, and I do remember my dad having a petrol heater fitted to two of his SAABs, it had a timer and everything.
I get the point of that, but never really connected the two concepts…

60M USD is insanely cheap for that data, remember, it was categorized and structured into threads and subthreads in specific categories, not to mention all different languages already being mostly sorted and ready for consumption.
They could probably have got a few hundred million USD for it if they held out longer.

Makes sense, Reddit feels like a shell of it’s former self.
After the apicalypse many subs seems to have died, also the new UI that has been pushed for a decade or so, seems to promote consumption of content and discourage creation of content, further reducing new content.
Reddit has been many, many times by AI companies, why keep scanning if the content stays 98% the same, with most new content being of mostly lower quality, simply due to people posting AI shit.
This was a very predictable outcome.
As soon as Reddit’s history got scanned by AI models, it lost 98% of it’s future value.
Thank you for the info!
It is interesting to see how differently we use our vehicles, even in similar conditions.
Slightly off topic, I have always wondered what the point of remote starting a car is, could you telm me more about your usecase?
I have a 2021 Seat Leon, and have deliberately never turned on any mobile service in the car, so far nothing like that crap has appeared
Yeah, that is what I do, I catch up on youtube, browse lemmy, and in general just wind down.
They don’t have to be a whole hour apart, 30 min would be fine, it is just that when I bought my apartment, the best one I could find for me was located a fair bit outside the city.

Oh fuck off, not this shit again.
That whole movement is an embarrassment.
I am all for helping people, but let’s look at the economics.
Helping people in Europe, is FAR more expensive than helping people people in their own home countries.
We can help far, far, far more people by building infrastructure where it is needed, rather than move the persons needing help into Europe.
Europe’s resources are not endless, lets help as many people as we can with the resources we have.
Helping where the help is needed also means that people won’t have to die trying to cross a sea, so we save even more people that way.
I don’t understand why some westerners keep pushing for an inefficient and bad solution, when we have far more effective tools.
Yeah, seems kinda like they are pushing an “AI Wars” narrative
