  • Im a dude, but I lost weight in college and panicked when a couple girls in my friend group were suddenly all touchy and treating me like the dudes they were in to. It wasn’t sudden, but them all noticing I lost weight did happen all at once with one person noticing it. I panic gained weight, just started munching everyday like I used to, I still don’t know why. Barely starting to lose weight again years later. Maybe I was scared that every look based validation thing I was told was bs and personality is what really mattered wasn’t actually true for most people. I’m not gonna lie and say I pick purely personality > looks, it’s definitely looks first with personality being the final decider so It’s not like I was upset with them or anything. Just freaked me out experiencing it firsthand.

Sometimes I wish I could just go away somewhere for a year to not be perceived while I lose weight and get used to it.

Only way out of a perma ban is resetting your phone, you can restore from backup, idk how to get away with it on pc so I just never login there, never login to the phone browser either, at least in my case a google account alt logins automatically sometimes and gave me away last time. I havent bothered making an account in the last few months, all of social media just feels dead and borint right now.

  • Ngl I was doing that for a while, google search is ass these days, even 4 years ago, ai was more useful for finding sources than google. I was using bingai at the time and I would also google and try to find sources the regular way, I had way more success just telling ai to only return edu sources (or similar instructions, idr exactly since it’s been a while) People that seek easy results with no effort could’ve got them through chegg back before ai really took off. It was always an active choice to learn how to do a problem rather than just grabbing an answer and faking the proof. (Ngl mostly because exams are proctored or in person, but that hasn’t changed even with AI, students will still fail to passs their classes and get degrees if they rely purely on AI)
