Fedora is solid these days, well the last few years. It’s been so easy and everything is up to date, not lagging behind lke Ubuntu.

Ubuntu been awful since the beginning, always buggy always needing to be rinstalled at some point.

It lives on hype alone. I would choose anything over Ubuntu.

Slop has a long history as word used about art. Joeseph Cambell mentions it, people criticsed hollywood of it, publishers complained about it.

I remember those days using the term slop for lazy, uninspired, thowing anything that stuck on the wall, etc. AI is just a logical progression of the same term.

I mean yes… kind of. You can go to your library in gog and download (slowly speed-limited and broken into 4 gb chunks for some damn reason) which means no client needed.

But steam does have games that are DRM free after that first install. Ones that you can copy directly out of the folder and put them anywhere and run. Steam no longer needed.

Cool. That is a step up. They used to play on the radio and the artist got nothing. They moved to digital and managed to get a pay per click. Pretty good.

The pay went to the publisher and songwriter back then, does it now? Do these numbers reflect that cut?

Music on the radio was an ad. People would go buy it if they liked it or see the band when it came to town. I wonder how much streaming converts to merch, performance, and possibly direct payment if at all for support?

Dual boot is fine, you just need to choose some good options.

Method 1: Most recommended. use Refined as your boot loader and two drives, not partitions. This is the easiest, safest, and frankly nicest way to deal with this. At boot, before either system starts you get a nice graphical interface to choose which OS to go into.

Method 2: Partition style. Disable window fast startup. Disable windows hibernation (never hibernate windows before going into linux). Use UEFI and GPT no legacy methods. Don’t encrpyt windows with bitlocker.

That said, my desktop and traveling laptop have been windows free for years, I have no need for it, and your advice is the safest way overall. A vm in linux with virtualmanager works very well.

This is how I see it:

The EU pays Morocco to externalize its borders. Morocco has used these migrant dumps in the past as leverage to get more money or protest things it didn’t like. The EU is paying Morocco to be its border guard, so there is a structural dependency where Morocco holds the stronger hand.

Yes the court ruling in Spain happened that makes it look like this is why its happening now, but there are so many people, it seems allowed. Morocco denies they are officially involved, but they also denied this in the past when they clearly did. There are a lot of news reports of their border guards standing down, and even reports that they helped spread the social media news on purpose.

Why then? Because Spain recently strengthened diplomatic ties with Algeria, Morocco’s arch-regional rival. Seriously for a looooong time they have been rivals.

I also would see the ruling as a negative for Moroco’s government, as this removes a bit of their leverage. So they would like that reversed.

Edit: oh I forgot to mention, these people are just pawns in this game. Everyone wants to complain about the people they see in the photos, but it is the ruling classes on both sides that benefit from this, focus should be on them.

Its always been this way, that’s a good starting point. People have been pushing bullshit since forever.

Photos or even video have been unreliable since we learned how to use a light table and an editor. Or actors and a scene.
