Weâre introducing a new process for requesting connectors through the Fabric ideas. This means:
- You can submit ideas for new data sources and destinations.
- You can vote on what matters most to you.
- Your input will directly shape which connectors Microsoft builds next.
This community-led approach ensures that our connector strategy reflects real-world needs and delivers the most impactful experiences across Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
What else you should know
- Microsoft will lead new connector development. By building connectors in-house, we can better align with customer demand and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience.
- Custom connectors remain fully supported. Organizations can continue to build and use their own connectors in Power BI Desktop and refresh them in the Power BI Service using the on-premises data g...âfully self-serve.
- Existing certified connectors will continue to be supported. Partners may still submit critical security updates, and weâve provided guidance to help them manage future versions.
