Visual Studio 2026 uses excessive memory (20GB+) with Unity 6000.3.41 project

Hello,

I am experiencing extremely high memory usage in Visual Studio when working with a Unity project, and I’m looking for guidance or confirmation on whether this is a known issue.

Before:

  • Unity 2022.3.51f1 + Visual Studio 2026 → no issues

After:

  • Unity 6000.3.41 + Visual Studio 2026 → issue occurs

My system has 64 GB RAM. Unity itself uses only 3–5 GB, but Visual Studio consumes over 20 GB when opening and working with the Unity project, which makes development very uncomfortable.

This did not happen before upgrading the Unity version.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue with Unity 6000.x and Visual Studio 2026? Are there any known causes or recommended workarounds?
