Just a quick notice for people who have - or have not - heard about the sudden changes occurring on Itch. In short, Collective Shout (https://www.collectiveshout.org/) - a group who are absolutely as annoying as their name would suggest - have made themselves unpleasant to MasterCard and Visa and they, in turn, have put pressure on Itch.
The long and the short of it is that all adult games (and this includes games that involve adult themes such as psychological trauma, suicidal ideation and abuse) have been delisted, meaning that unless you know the name and/or URL of the game, you *cannot* find it in the Itch store any more. (This lack of discoverability obviously cripples developer income.)
As well as that, a number of games have been suspended or terminated by Itch already, with their pages no longer accessible and the files no longer able to be downloaded. Itch is using a combine harvester here instead of a scalpel.
What does this mean for Corrupted Kingdoms? The Itch announcement states that "creators must confirm that their content is allowable under the policies of the respective payment processors linked to their account". Given that Patreon already booted Corrupted Kingdoms (despite it being in the top 30 adult games and top 300 of *all* Patreon pages) because of payment processor demands, the future of CK on Itch is... not bright. I'll update everyone as and when I have more information on that.
I might hold an informal Discord stream tomorrow if people want to ask me questions about the changes, the reasons and the ramifications. If you'd like that, ping me in #general-chat chat to let me know.

well not all for sure i see this problem onli here, i looked up on 22 other projects and they work fine, maybe u can ask some of them why they wasnt affected(https://itch.io/games-like/498859)it propably dont help at all but i think its worth of try
so basicly corrupted kingdoms will no longer be found in itch.io . that sucks i saw nothing wrong with the game however i do see where they are coming from when it comes to rape, child sexual abuse or abuse of any kind i understand their concern and keeping kids from finding sites like these and downloading games with sexual content especialy kids that lie about their birth date making themselves older then they are i still think this sucks but i understand i would like to know where i can get updates to this game otherwise i will have to dump the game no since keeping it in my external hard drive just taking up space.

I humbly request that you keep politics out of this.. there is a huge difference between sex workers especially transgenders and making adult video games I don't mind supporting a petition for the rights of adult video games to be created, manufactured, published and distributed however part of the petition you want people to sign would make it where a person in the sex industry does not have to have age verification *a direct quote from the petition "including pre-approval of all content before publication, forbidding certain search terms, and monitoring the age and identity verification process for all performers"*. (Keywords here are monitoring the age) So no a petition of this kind I will never sign. For anyone who does decide to sign this, That's your decision and I won't criticize it, but just be careful that you fully understand the implications of what your signing.
i'll have to agree with you on this. bringing in all of this when the danger against this game is low. and making it so a sex worker doesnt have age verification sounds REALLY suspicious to me. if that thing goes through, it could mean some bad shit could go down for underaged individuals, and to me that is an INFINITELY Growing No-no, with no end in sight for how much i would despise even the thought of it.

I think you may be misunderstanding the wording of the petition. It’s not asking to eliminate age verification, just monitor the process better. Protecting children is important but it’s also important to retain what shreds of privacy we have left. Letting third party verification take data like our id information and biometrics that can be sold off to other companies is a crazy way of doing it. The idea is to have these things regulated and discussed without making huge sweeping bans or privacy violations through fear mongering. Collective Shout doesn’t care about children. You can see it in all the similar fights they’ve had through the years.

Then I would agree with you 100%... However the inclusion of the word age is where the sole issue is.
Yeah, the quote says that Mastercard shouldn’t force websites to impose invasive age and identity verification requirements to utilize their websites. That doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be any kind of age verification, as for years having a credit card was the means to do that. By putting in your card, which you must be 18 to own, you are verifying your age. I shouldn’t have to also send my driver’s license as proof to these third party verification services. The onus is on the parents to track what kids use their credit cards for in regards to their safety. I think a key point here is that payment processors should not get to have a say in what we spend our money on. Porn is an easy target because you’ve got to be out of your goddamn mind to give a thumbs up to kids having access to adult content. It’s an easy cause to rally behind. It sets groundwork for whatever they want to target next. If the website itself isn’t taking care to deal with risks to children, it’ll tear itself down. I mean, look at Roblox.
I can buy a prepaid visa gift card... It's treated exactly the same as a credit card that has my legal name on it. Last I checked you don't have to be 18 to get a gift card, also if you have kids there would be nothing to stop them from grabbing your card from your wallet while you are asleep. However if you have to do a live video to verify your identity a child would have to video tape you while you were awake (much harder to pull of when they require you to make a given gesture)
So what. It's parent's job to make sure their kids don't see sexual content. It's not ppayment processor's job.

i'm all for people making their own choice's when it come's to this but i agree when it come's to minor's having axcess to sexualy explicit games or tools. they should not be able to get to these things at all i haven't read the petition yet but if it's worded so that minor's will be allowed to get axcess to these games i will not sign it

Take some time to contact MasterCard, PayPal, Visa, and Stripe about this also. They claim their policies don't prevent people from purchasing legal goods, and yet the vast majority of adult games (CK included) are legal for purchase.

I would expect ALL games to eventually be banned from US entirely. The rules regarding what is and isnt allowed are so vague from what ive heard that anything could fall under them. its how all politicians and businessmen always set things up.
