How does your game fit the theme?
In my game you control an Ouroboros, a mythical serpent that symbolizes loops and eternal cycles. The core mechanic revolves around creating loops with your snake-like body to trap and destroy enemies. The entire gameplay is built around the theme of looping, both mechanically and symbolically.

I felt bad that there is no average score, because some teams aimed for all categories, not just one. So I just scrapped the results page and made a table. I agree with Mark that "Overall" is questionable, but I still think "Average" is a valuable score, so I decided to share it.
Really LOVE the concept and the gameplay. Very addicting
Love the concept - love the loops!
Very Enjoyable Game!
I very Like the "Entity" talking to you in some strange language added with that talking sound!
Brilliant idea! Easy to pick up and hard to master, there's such a rhythm or flow to it; I feel like I need to play it a bit more later to beat my high score at least once
Thank you! Really glad you felt that rhythm, that’s exactly what I was going for!
Reading comments like yours really makes me consider expanding this idea post-jam, which I rarely do, even if I always think about it.
So thanks for the motivation! ❤️
I hope you'll manage to beat that highscore!
Hello there fellow Ouroboros developer, I really enjoyed your take on the sub-theme
I really enjoyed the narrative of the game. How many enemytypes are there?
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you liked it!
Right now, there are only two types of enemies in the game, even though I created several more during the jam, they were a bit too unstable to include!
Adding new enemies and power-ups will be the main upgrade for the game.
PS: I really enjoyed your game too <3
Thanks. Glad to here that you liked my game. I am sort of still thinking about recoding it after the jam (but I did never really did this with other projects either).
But you game actually looks fluent and clean in a way, at least from the outside, that I think you should really consider expanding on it.
You could maybe even add some procedural terrain, events etc.
I feel like: the major problem with developing games is that as the developer you often only see the bugs and mistakes. At least thats what often stops me from continuing work.
I totally get what you mean, it's so easy to focus on the flaws when you're the one who made the thing. But I really think your game had something special, and I’d love to see where it could go with some post-jam love.
I appreciate your feedback on mine too , it means a lot. I'm definitely considering expanding it, and procedural terrain and events are actually great suggestions. Might give them a shot!
In any case, let’s both try to break that habit of not revisiting our jam games, some of them really deserve it <3
Game is super fun! I love the style and feel of the movement, and I wanted to keep going! Damage feedback would be nice polish/upgrade
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
eye catching image my guy, love the spinning snake, the king
Incredibly catchy game! Level by level you become stronger, while the challenge keeps increasing without getting too hard. This is some nice balancing!
Also loved how Ophis dialogues changed time by time. Everything in this game is very well chosen and executed, from sprites to music. Loved it!
Thank you so much!
<3
The upgrade level system brings the game it's staying power. Like the dragon design too, nice game!
Thanks a lot! Super glad to hear you liked it!
Good fun! I felt strong, though it felt pretty hard to avoid damage at the later game, but I suppose that's a learned thing, like putting more hp regen on. Good choice of music too :D I wish the enemies made a sound for attacking, or for damaging the snake, but other than that well done!
Thank you for playing , I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Also, thanks for the feedback, it's really spot on.
In the end, I decided to leave out that kind of addition to avoid overwhelming the player, but you're right, it's definitely something to improve in the final version! :)
That said, huge congrats on your game, it’s one of my favorites from the entire jam! I really hope to see you go far with it.
Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it <3
Fun game!
Great minds think alike! I liked the fast paced vampire survivor like game you created. It ticked all the dopamine receptor boxes and was fun to play. Only point of improvement I could suggest is to add more enemy variety if you were to develop this further.
Great minds definetly think alike! Really appreciate it, thrilled to know you had fun with it!
PS: Love your ouroboros <3
Hey everyone! The browser version is up and running, just keep in mind it might take a while to load the first time.
If you're in a hurry, you can download the Windows version at the bottom of the page for a smoother experience.
Thanks so much for playing! 😊
