really great idea, but I have not completely understand how to play
Super neat idea, took a bit to understand what the different blocks did and I was able to cheese once I got to grips with it, but love the base that you've got here!

Really cool conept, and simply playing around with the drum track is fun
But the actual platforming mechanic feels very inconsistent and even with the itch explenation I couldn't quite figure out what actually created the bouncy platforms or caused the platforms to raise mid loop

This might be the most unique take I’ve seen by far. Super cool. I agree with others that it is missing some depth in gameplay though. Most jarring is that only the bottom row of the track seems to have any impact, and the other two just add to the soundtrack. A really quick tutorial or some description on the itch page would have also helped quite a lot. Still enjoyed this a lot, good stuff!

I really like the drum loop idea, and the music goes so hard to complement it. Visual style was also a big plus for me, especially the main character, he is so cool ahahah. My only gripe is the top two layers felt a bit underpowered compared to the kick, which ended up being 95% of what I used to complete the levels. Enjoyable game nonetheless :D

This concept is so interesting, but I think it lacks something currently. I felt like the only thing useful was the bouncing platforms, as everything dies after one loop and there is no jump (but maybe I misunderstood something). So basically I finished the game just by putting jumping platforms everywhere.
The concept is really interesting though, I had a similar concept once for a shootemup where you shoot on the beat, and my gmtk entry is an expansion on this concept but with a brotato-like gameplay. But I never thought about doing it for a platform game, that is really creative. And I think there is a lot that can be done to make it really fun.

(i did manage to kinda cheese it tho by having only jump beats on a fast loop and jumping my way to the top lol)

Nice game! I just find a way to finish all the level in the same way but the mechanics are cool. The sprites and the sound are great. It's a really good game and really good idea for the theme, good job !
