Hi dev, I couldn’t download the game. It stopped in the mid way of downloading. I tried it 4 times with a good connection. Please help me since this is a paid game.
I've played all of this developer's games and I'm always impressed that they are able to consistently put out high quality horror games at affordable prices. This one has some very good scares and the use of multimedia elements is quite creative. There was also a bigger focus on narrative compared to the other games. I personally prefer the more traditional horror approach used in Locked up and Summer of 58, but this one is still enjoyable. Great job, dev!
An amazing game. The game creates an creepy environment from the beginning and at the school it gets spookier and spookier. There are so much details (call it eastereggs) in the game to explore. I'll do some more runs of the game and focus on the surrounding. Integrating videos in the game was such a cool idea.
This game got me good.. The jumpscares? BRUTAL. The tension? Perfection. But the overall message really stuck with me. The tie ins from the other games absolutely blew my mind, seeing the connections unfold made everything hit 10 times harder.
I love the moral of the game ! The atmosphere is really well done and most jumpscares got me soo good :) The comic was cool and Kudos to whoever drew that but it did seem somewhat out of place in the game. There was a lot of different stories going on at once and I feel like the ending mightve been somewhat rushed a little . I did really like the real ghost hunter/ youtubers footage in the game ! Thought that made the game more real . Overall its a very well put together game . I do not regret buying it at all and look forward to playing future Emika game's creations :)
This Game Broke Me in Silence — and That’s What Makes It Brilliant
Pieces of Me isn’t a horror game that chases you down — it sits beside you, quietly, and makes you remember something you thought you’d buried.
From the opening moments, this game builds a sense of emotional dread I haven’t felt since the developer’s earlier title September 7th — and if you know, you know. The connection is there. Subtle, but personal. It hits differently when you realize it’s the same pain, grown up.
The themes of bullying, guilt, isolation, and unresolved trauma aren’t just thrown in — they’re lived in. The game doesn’t explain everything. It doesn’t need to. Because if you’ve ever felt like you were the villain in someone else’s story, this hits straight in the gut.
Yes — the audio in the school scene is jarring. That’s because it’s supposed to be. It’s not bad mixing — it’s deliberate oppression. The bell, the voice, the distorted silence — it pulls you back into that exact kind of place where you wanted to disappear. That’s not a bug. That’s a memory being ripped open.
This is a horror game made by someone who understands fear isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quiet. Personal. Shameful. And I respect the hell out of that.
If you want a jumpscare-every-30-seconds type of horror game, look elsewhere. But if you want something that lingers with you after you close it… If you want to feel something that makes you rethink your own past...
Fantastic game! I highly recommend to play it before watching anyone. Right amount of jumpscares, creepy environment, awesome atmosphere, and best of all, a great message at the end of it. A true masterpiece. Well done, as usual, Emika. Fantastic.
