I like this type of games of "late snack horror", because the plot is always so simple and direct, and I think is a form of exercise in game development.
And! I like how you did it, simple and creepy, also that jumpscare didn't expect it, because (spoilers) every game does the thing of going to bed again, and then waking up later to find the bad guy/monster!
