I think the idea behind the game is really great. I love the game's aesthetic, with that slightly spooky style. I think the puzzles work really well, and it's a cool idea to drink different potions that let you use your own death to solve puzzles. Honestly, it had me glued to the screen for quite a while but I just wanted to pause the game for a moment, but pressing ESC closed it completely, RIP progress. 😂 Awesome concept overall, it’d be really interesting to see it further developed!
Yeah sorry about the ESC.. the plan was to add a screen there but well.. we didn't have time :P Thank you so much for playing!
Fun combo of a puzzle game and 3D platformer! It reminds me a lot of the Mortol games from UFO 50. I like the variety of abilities, and the fact that you have to physically go collect them adds a neat dimension.
I unfortunately think I got stuck halfway - I used the explosion to kill a bunch of wolves that fell down on me, but without them I had no way to die and spawn a jump platform to progress. In general, there were a lot of places where weird things like that could happen - the physics were glitchy, you could skip sections by jumping on the walls, you could get stuck on geometry, etc. It might be worth going the game over with a comb to tighten up these things and make a more consistent experience.
Overall, a clever little entry - nice work!
Thank you so much! Yes we tried fixing a lot of the soft locks we encountered in the last hour... For the wolves moment you talk about, we think you could get past that by ... [spoiler ahead!!]
getting the zombie ability from earlier and taking that up there, then die by the cactus that is there on that platform to spawn a zombie, take the trampoline ability and let the zombie kill you.
You're totally right that there are some collision glitches and bypasses that we should clean up.
Nice Game!
Very cool game and I love the artstyle! There were some bugs, like a vase clipping in the floor if you go to the upper left corner at the start, or being able to go out of bounds by crossing the water after getting the spring upgrade for the first time.
I also couldn't find a use for the light, and springs weren't completely visible in water.
The explosion was very fun to use, kinda wish there were more things to blow up.
This is an amazing game for only 4 days, well done!
Thank you for the helpful comment!
The light was meant to be used in a puzzle but we where out of time
Very unique and interesting puzzles. I think I softlocked myself somewhere, but other than that it was a great game
Yeah sadly we where out of time with fixing some of those issues :( thanks for playing!
no need to worry, I rated your game quite highly :)
Im at work now, will play yours when im home :) (an all the ones from all the other comments as well of course :)
really cool game feel
Great vibe. Cool gameplay loop. This game needs more ratings.
Cool game. Reminds me of Mortol II
The spooky world is intriguing and I like the different power up ideas
Had fun with this one, only had some trouble getting past the wolf (but managed hehe). Well done and congrats on this game!
While playtesting the desiner's level i also got stuck there xD
Nice concept to jump on your own previous spots
Very cool!
