Idk about legendary but on heroic the flood go down in one hit to the infection form in their chest. I was walking around one hitting most non shielded flood with the magnum it actually made them feel kinda dull.
The flood hunters will happily eat 17 grenades to the face though.
What did you think of the bonus missions? Im almost done with them and if this is their idea of what halo will be going forward the series is genuinely over
I was watching bits of it on Youtube and that weird scene where the prophet guy introduces every member of the Covenant was certainly something. I know they've been around since like the Halo 2 instruction manual but I can't help but cringe when they have characters say the Covenant species' "native" names out loud in dialogue. All of them are just something very on the nose in an Asian language that sounds exotic and alien to Westerners, like I think the Brutes' name just translates to "stupid monkey" in Korean. It's like if the Jackals were called los pollos locos or whatever
Headshotting the non-shielded flood was fun but the hit detection or aim assist felt very iffy, but I had to lean on plasma rifle spray because of the sheer number of shielded flood and the pistol can only take down 1 before needing to reload. I swear they gave most of the flood shields and the red shielded elites felt like they took more than one clip.

I tried playing the prequel missions first but switched over because Johnson despawned before he unlocked a door and it ruined my run in the first level lol. I'll be playing them soon but it really put me off the level design was bad and had no cover in my first impression lol
Yes theyre no cover and no ammo and has a habit of giving you a weapon you need for a later section three rooms prior and you dont know you need it yet. Straight corridor to circular bare room with 3 waves of enemies ending with invisible elites plus sniper elite combo to another corridor to circle room 3 waves rinse and repeat. Every room i died about 5 times in until i memorised the enemy patterns. Hated it
