I previously looked at getting a similar Skylight style setup and the complications in it just stopped me using it by the time I got it all setup. I like the idea of your option and just installed it and started playing around, after of course my wife reminded me about Skylight for the kids.... I was wondering if your card is just for displaying the calendar? or is there any features/options regarding task management for the kids like Skylight has?

@DrSpaldo Thanks for your question. No, this card does not do anything related to task management - it is purely for calendar functionality.

If you found another separate dashboard to use for task management, you could add a link to it via these options:

show_dashboard_nav_button: true

Thanks for the reply @superdingo101, I feared you would say that. I need to come up with someone that the wife will use, I can't bring myself to get sucked into the Skylight setup. I will keep looking...

Out of curiosity, is that an area you have an interest in branching into eventually, or do you feel this project would be better served as a strictly calendar view?

Mostly wondering if it's a "well maybe one day" feature or a strictly "declined to implement" functionality.

I feel this project would be best served as strictly a calendar. I also feel as though a task manager would be better served as a HACS integration instead of a dashboard.

If I ever found the desire to implement this, it would almost certainly be via a separate integration entirely.
