Storyteller

I see #586 for this app already, but that was almost a year ago, and I'm having trouble adding it now. I know Storyteller went through some changes this past year, so I'm wondering if that's now causing issues.

I get the following errors when I try to add Storyteller:

• "Not Found " error when I add the general releases link: https://gitlab.com/storyteller-platform/storyteller/-/releases
• "Not Found " error when I add a specific mobile release link: https://gitlab.com/storyteller-platform/storyteller/-/releases/mobile-v2.2.2
• "Error 404" error when I try to add the direct apk link: https://gitlab.com/api/v4/projects/67994333/packages/generic/mobile-apk/2.2.1/app-release.apk

Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I need to tweak on my end to make it work?

Hey all, Storyteller maintainer here. Let me know if I can help at all — I'm also an Obtainium user, so I'd love to figure this out for myself as well!

You're not doing anything wrong. You're attempting to add the app for Obtainium to find it within the releases like you should. The problem is the APK file is released using the GitLab api URL and Obtainium isn't finding it for some reason. Obtainium also doesn't find it by changing the source URL to "HTML". Not sure why this is.

As I look at other app configs from GitLab I have that work correctly none of them are released using the GitLab api URL.

But I do have a working config using the GitLab releases api URL for the repo which I'll share as an export file because sharing as an HTML link also doesn't work correctly. When sharing as an HTML link Obtainium excludes 3 necessary characters from the URL which breaks the config. Not sure why this is either.

Config breakdown (add manually if needed):

• App source URL: https://gitlab.com/api/v4/projects/storyteller-platform%2Fstoryteller/releases
• Override source: HTML
• Version string extraction ReGex: \d+\.\d+\.\d+

• Author: Shane Friedman
• About: A self-hosted platform for creating and reading ebooks with synced narration.

Maybe worth opening a bug report on the main repo for this (super busy right now, probably won't be able to take a look for a week or so but will get to it eventually).

Issue created in main repo, ImranR98/Obtainium#2711.

Edit:
Issue is closed. App is able to be added with the main repo URL as normal. Add an optional version trim ReGex \d+\.\d+\.\d+ to only extract the version numbers excluding the additional text.
