MÆRE: Silent Night
MÆRE: Silent Night is a Christmas theme spin off of the MÆRE series.
As always it is an immersive horror experience best enjoyed with headphones.
It is Christmas Eve, and the object of the game is to fall asleep. Do this by closing your eyes.
But even if you have played a previous MÆRE game, pay attention because things are a little different this time!
Santa will visit your house during the night, and he expects you to be fast asleep!
If he catches you awake, he will be seriously unhappy about it. If he is in your room, you better not let him catch you with your eyes open.
Santa’s elves will keep an eye on you, if they see you with your eyes open they will alert Santa who will come to investigate. As with Santa, if you see an elf you better close your eyes quick!
To fall asleep, you need to be comfortable in your room. Your comfort level is conveyed through the icons at the bottom of the screen. Seeing Santa or an elf will reduce your comfort level. Checking an area of the room to make sure you’re in the clear will increase your comfort.
If you are comfortable with your room. Close your eyes and wait to fall asleep. You will know when you are asleep because you will dream.
Hold SPACE or J to close your eyes
Release SPACE or J to open them.
Use Arrows or WASD to look around the room.
