About Wycombe Museum
Known to many as The Chair Museum, Wycombe Museum is a family friendly museum that explores the history of High Wycombe and the surrounding areas. Our hands-on galleries not only span Wycombeâs furniture-making history (which is our specialism), but also include art, photography, and many varied artefacts documenting the areaâs rich social history.
Wycombe Museum is a Grade II listed building, with parts dating back to the 1600s. We have an on-site cafe and are surrounded by a big, beautiful garden which is great for exploring and picnics.
Wycombe Museum is a registered independent charity managed by Wycombe Heritage and Arts Trust.

There is no charge to visit Wycombe Museum & Gardens.
We are a small charity and welcome any donations from visitors. You don’t need to book before your visit.
Getting Here
