Soccer fans heading to Miami’s FIFA Fan Festival were greeted by more than just match-day excitement—PETA supporters handed out free protein-packed vegan jerky under a massive, eye-catching balloon display towering over the crowd.

Hotter weather can be especially hard on dogs kept outside, often leading to severe flea infestations. PETA treated this pup, Cane, with topical and oral medications to relieve his itching and discomfort from flea bites, at no cost to his guardian.

At Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), PETA UK placed a new billboard just a stone’s throw from the campus, warning prospective students that experimenters at the university are tormenting mice in cruel and useless sepsis experiments that consistently fail to lead to effective treatments for humans.

PETA supporters assembled to demand that the facility keep its promise to release the dolphins in its tanks to a seaside sanctuary. Ten years ago, the aquarium pledged to move the dolphins by 2020—and accepted a $10,000 donation from PETA toward the effort. We’ll keep demonstrating until there’s progress!

Using cutting-edge technology, PETA India has unveiled ‘Awaaz,’ an adorable robot goat who engages in gentle, interactive conversations in English and Hindi, asking children and other passersby: “Do you consider me a friend … or food?” Awaaz will be visiting college campuses and city centers to engage with people across the country. PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk celebrated her 77th birthday as only she would: by parking PETA’s fun “I Scream” truck on the National Mall, encouraging adults and children alike to have a blast screaming for free vegan ice cream—and make her birthday wish come true by trying vegan.

With consumers feeling the pinch of high gas costs, PETA’s Commando Chicks swooped in yet again to help everyone save money, the planet, and the lives of chickens who are tormented and killed for their flesh. The radiant regiment filled the first 100 drivers’ tanks with $10 of free gas and got passersby pumped about delicious vegan chicken.

PETA deployed a life-size “crying elephant” outside the Loomis Bros. Circus to call for the release of Okha, a 56-year-old elephant. Okha was captured in India as a baby and has been forced to perform in circus acts for more than 50 years.

Animal defenders gathered at the opening of a Raising Cane’s in Florida to encourage customers to consider the animal suffering behind each combo meal. Throughout the demonstration, dozens of passing drivers noticed our signs and many expressed support by honking.
