Oxford Friends of the Earth works to protect and improve our environment local and nationally. We are part of the Friends of the Earth global network working in 75 countries.
Here in Oxford and across the county we work on
- Climate action – we push for stronger policies and promote clean energy solutions and actions to make Oxfordshire a genuinely ‘zero-carbon county’
- Nature and climate solutions – we want to see more space and protection for nature
- Clean Rivers – we need action to tackle the sewage pollution in the Thames and ther rivers.
- Air Pollution – we work for tighter controls on pollution across the county and we have our own pollution monitors
- Transport – Oxfordshire needs an integrated transport system that means that people don’t need cars for most journeys.
