Temple Visits

You know it is a good thing that my soon to be mother-in-law likes to take lots of pictures because Eric and I wouldn't have any if she didn't Oh our trip to Boise we stopped at the Boise and Twin Falls temple. Then last night Eric had a great idea for FHE. We went and saw the Joseph Smith movie at Temple Square and I had thought I'd seen it before but I hadn't. It was a weird moment for me when I realized it. But it was a great film! It made me appreciate the pioneers. Sometimes I forget the harsh times they went through. Anyway, I'm grateful for in-laws!

The in-laws!

Twin Falls temple- I have a close up of us but I don't know how to rotate it.

Do you think we are forgiven for laughing in the temple?

I can remember most of the mistakes I've made in the temple and every time I pray that it doesn't interfere with the work I'm doing. I've done that too many times I think. I use to do it on my mission too. I remember at the beginning of my mission praying (while I was teaching a discussion) that if I was saying anything wrong or incorrect that the words would magically change in the air before it met my investigators ears. Haha- heaven help the people I taught!

I think we are asked to go to the temple on a regular basis for a few reason- work for the dead, to renew our covenants, to feel his spirit, and because some times we don't have a good session and we need to come back and try again. Sometimes we are pretty ADD, or we might be way sleepy and tired. Sometimes things just don't make sense, we have an off day, or there is so much on our mind that we can't concentrate.

This week I went with a group and we all seemed to have something go wrong. I've messed up a lot in the temple but this seemed to be the worst. For some reason I couldn't stop laughing! I controlled it the best I could but by the time I sat down I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look up. I prayed that people thought I was trying not to cough. Well later on a woman came up to me and my friend and said that we looked like two newly married couples. She said she was happy to see us at the temple. I think that was her way of saying, "You are young so we forgive you for ruining our temple session." Well I guess I'll just have to try again next week.

Wrestling Match

Eric and I like to wrestle. I don't mind wrestling with him because sometimes I do pretty good. The other day I guess I was texting a bit too much so he tried to take my phone- right in the middle of when I was texting someone. Well if you know one thing about me- you don't take my phone. So the wrestling match began!!! There was pulling, pushing, take downs, reaching, a bit of kicking and of course running. At one point I ran toward the door but it was locked- I really wanted to finish my text. Good gossip was going on! So he grabbed me, twisted me around, and his face went right into the lazy chair. The pain shot him right onto his back. I hovered right over him in concern for...oh about five seconds. Then I ran for the door again with Eric right behind me. I quickly unlocked the door and ripped it open. The door sprang open along with the chain Eric had lovingly locked. Yep, I broke the door. Eric gasped at my enormous strength as I ran out the door. OOPS!!

But I'd like to point out that the other night when we were wrestling Eric broke the bed....don't let him know that I told you. But its only fair that you know that I'm not the only one that breaks things. HAHA!! Good times.

Dream Catcher

Look at my new cute blog! Thanks Jen-totally fun. Ok so I had a dream last night that made me wake in a frenzy. I pretty much ran out the door-no shoes, I could barley see, and I forgot my ring- cause I felt like I had major things to do. When I told Eric about the dream he said, "Whats the big deal. It was just a dream." Yes but I dream about things that I worry about or need to get done. Have you ever done that?

I tried to explain it to him by describing the stupid things I'd dream about in high school. I would have dreams about shaving my legs...and more dreams about shaving....and more until I'd shave my legs. So when I'd finally shave the dreams would stop. So I've learned to just take care of stuff. The weird thing is that I'm not dreaming about my wedding- we pretty much got that under control. Yeah I'm dream about school. I left the high school the last day of school and haven't been back since...I really have things to do so I spent some time at the school today and I'll go back tomorrow.

I feel bad for people when they don't have dreams. Yeah I'm not blessed enough to receive inspired dreams but I believe dreams are our subconscious talking to us. It helps us figure out our issues and focus our attention. So next time you dream don't just brush it aside. Try and figure out what is happening in you life to bring about these dreams-it might help.

I took Eric home to meet my family. Ok well he already met my family but it was a chance to see how we live. Its funny because being at each others homes has helped us understand each other. Has anyone felt that way about meeting their in-laws?

The big day is July 11th! We are finally feeling good about the plans. The announcements should be sent out sometime in the next two weeks, my dress is being altered, our honeymoon plans are set. So all we have now is pictures, music, and...ok we still have a lot to do but its not so overwhelming.

So now that I'm getting married do I need to start a new blog or is there s way to just change the name of this one? I'm going to have a lot more time this summer so I can keep my blog updated!

Valentine's Day Here We Come

I took an interpersonal communication class at BYU-it taught me a ton about relationships. I think everyone should take that class cause it really has helped me out (but it isn't a miracle worker.) So some of you might be wondering why I haven't written very much lately. Well one of the things I learned in that class was that the further in the relationship you get the less you tend to talk about it.... Apparently this is true.
So last Saturday I had my first Valentine's Day experience and people really do make it a bigger deal than it should be haha! But I still had a good time. On Friday Eric- yeah I think it's about time you know his real name. (I called him EX because I first knew about him cause he went on dates with my roommate and I know for a fact he would hate that I called him EX on here so lets keep that under wraps.)
Anyway Friday Eric gave me his presents which was so cute of him. Saturday morning he came over and I made breakfast which was Breakfast Burritos and he had never had it before. Apparently I make really weird food but it tastes good. Then we met our singles ward and went to the Draper Temple Open House. Is that only funny to me?- on Valentine's Day our singles ward all went to the temple. Good times! It was a beautiful temple- the baptist room was amazing and I really loved the ceiling room.
After that we went to Olive Garden and we had a 45 minute wait which we filled with heated discussions about video games, sleepovers, and talking to your kids about drugs. Yeah we don't agree on a lot of things but I think that normal. I need to start to figure out what I can compromise and what really matters to me.
We had time to waste so we went to the Mall and I bought a couple of cute shirts. We also stopped at a few others stores where Eric made fun of me for knowing nothing about diamonds. Why would I know about diamonds? They all look fake to me anyway. My mom gave me this beautiful ring for my graduation present and I asked her, "Is this real." Her response was, "Of course its real." She added some eye rolling to go with the comment.
We then went to the Utah Youth Symphony. They were really really good but the seats were really really really hard. It was a fun experience. When I told my mom I was going to it she said, "Wow you guys are cultured." That's how we roll!!! It wasn't bad for a V-day experience. I had a good time.
