Christmas Break in Utah

Well, we made it to Utah on Christmas Eve!  We drove all night and got into Richmond about 4am, just as the snow was beginning to fall.  We timed it just right.  We all slept a few hours then got up and ready for the Pulsipher party at Maddox.  It was great to see all the extended family and celebrate Grandma Janet's birthday a little early as well.  We sure love her.

Grandma Pam fit in a little piano lesson while we were there.
The kids were excited to spend Christmas eve with Grandpa and Grandma.  They gave them their gifts from us as well as the ones they had made.  We also read the story from Luke 2 just as Justin had done when he was little.

Justin had to rub in to his brothers that Pam had made him a cheesecake.
The kids left a cookie and milk for Santa and off to bed they went.  Good thing Grandma had a few stockings to use because I forgot ours!

Santa came and Rylee was first to wake up.  She was so excited and had to wake the boys.

Sorting through stockings first!

I let them start opening one at a time and taking turns.  Rylee's first gift was flip flops?!  She was a little confused!

Headphones!

He got his hunting jeep and four wheeler!
A new camera!
And Rhett got his robot monkey!!
Then Grandma let them open her gifts.

They were pretty spoiled!  But there was one more small gift under the tree.  A trip to Kauai!! And the best part, we were leaving in two days!!  Rylee couldn't believe it.  Rhett threw the paper down and said, "I don't want to go on an airplane!"  I think he was a little nervous.  Tate was pretty excited to go in an airplane!

After breakfast and opening presents we hustled to church.  Rylee and Grandma were matching!  They both looked so pretty together.

After lunch we went to Grandma Debbie's and Grandpa Stan's.  The kids were pretty excited to see Parker, Morgan and Allie.  And they knew there would be more presents :)

Grandpa got them all work shirts!

Money for Hawaii!
Then we had the Reeder Christmas party that night.  It's always fun to see those cousins as well.
We just needed Bryson and Sunny to make up the gang of 2012!

It started snowing that night and I was going to be back out the next morning to get my hair done, so we decided to just stay the night rather than drive back and forth. So then all the kids decided to have a sleepover with Grandma in the living room.

Monday we got our errands done and then headed back to Richmond for Cousin Camp!! It was so much fun doing all things snowmen!  Pizza and movies, family home evening and snowflakes, sleeping in the living room all together, snowman pancakes and snowman games.  Most of all just being with all the cousins was the best.
Drew, Tate, Rylee, Cooper, Grandma and Lainey
Hayden, Rhett, Easten, and Reese
(Stetson came the next day)

Tater got to go to the farm and help Justin check the calves.  He even got to play with a new little calf.
During cousin camp I had to take a little break and face time Natalee.  They were all hiding in my dad's shop watching Colton propose to McKilee!!  So come May, I will be getting another sister!
The next day we all went to Salt Lake to fly out to Kauai. We rang in the new year there as we spent a week on the beach.  Once we got back, we had a day or two to finish things in Utah and then we made the trek back across the plains to Nebraska.  It was such a great Christmas break but also nice to get back home to our routine and normal life.  Good times and good memories!
