June 25, 2026 – MightyViewer for Windows 1.4.17 Released
MightyViewer for Windows 1.4.17 has been released. This maintenance update improves fullscreen operation on high-DPI displays, updates the application platform to .NET 10.0, and fixes several stability issues.
If you use TightVNC Viewer regularly, consider trying MightyViewer as an improved TightVNC viewer with an address book, live screen previews, tabbed viewing, and improved productivity features.
June 19, 2026 – TightVNC for Windows 2.8.88 Released
TightVNC version 2.8.88 for Windows has been released. This maintenance update improves security and stability by addressing several potential crashes, hangs, and unsafe memory access issues in the Server and Viewer. We recommend upgrading to this latest version.
March 15, 2022 – Remote Core SDK (.NET Viewer) v2022.1.1: Supporting .NET 5.0 and 6.0
Now, in the SDK, .NET 5.0 and .NET 6.0 are supported for the Core component, WPF and WinForms. Also, we've added the WPF FileTransferControl to easily implement file transfer functionality in a WPF application, and made a few breaking changes in WPF RemoteDesktopControl and Core extensions.
