You know those items you think about buying but then let slip through your fingers and you are kicking yourself for the next week because you didn't get it? Yes, I think we have all had moments like that that we wish to forget....so sorry to bring that up! Learn your lesson and don't let something fabulous go!

A true diamond in the rough, I could see that these silk pants had potential. So I gave them a shot for a few dollars, and I am pleased with the outcome! Couple bucks and some tailoring skills and they were ready for the runway! Not really but we can pretend ;) I pretend all the time I am on project runway...I don't think it's a bad thing! Good night all you thrifters.

Work doesn't require me to dress up everyday, but sometimes I just do it for myself! Wear what makes you feel good. Heels do it for me :) if I feel like i am having a grungy day I throw heels on and everything is right with the world again!

Can I share something with you??

It's been a few years since I have really been consistent at going to yoga, but lately I have been going a few times a week! And loving it! Here comes the sharing part....

My heels touch my mat in my down dog! I know I am a dork! But it is a big accomplishment for me :) I love feeling the change in your body when you are working out and taking care of yourself. I don't think I can go as deep as this lady...but I will get there!

I feel like a sassy secretary in this skirt. The exposed zipper on the back gives it something unexpected, which I like! J.Crew cardigan with a great print. One of my favorite trends going on right now, "color blocking". Although mine is a tame version compared to others out there, I still love the pop of color! You might remember this post with a lot of color!

I must finish my movie marathon! Okay, so I only have two right now...that's a lot of movies for me! Finally watched Breakfast at Tiffany's. I KNOW! Unbelievable right!?! Well, believe it. It has been on my list for a very, very long time! Now I am off to watch Roman Holiday :)

It was a casual dress day for me. I have actually been trying not to wear jeans so much because I think you can get stuck in a rut of throwing on the same pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Ever been through one of those?? I know I'm not the only one! Although I do love those days every once and a while, I have to remind myself that there is more to fashion than a pair of jeans.

Try something unexpected the next time you hit your closet....you might come out with a new favorite outfit :)

P.S. Sorry for the crazy photos!!! It was late...as you can tell from my face :) and I was working the self timer. Alas, no good pictures come from me and a self timer.

Can I tell you how much I love pencil skirts!? On the days I just want to stay classy I pull out this uniform. Fun flirty top, and a great fitting skirt. Wish these styles were the norm...like in the 50's when all the women were those dresses that made their waists look tiny. I should have been born in a different era! Alas! I will just have to drool over pictures like the ones on Mad Men. PS have you seen their new line at Banana Republic? Pretty cute :)

Every now and again I attempt to organize my photos. Usually I give up, not because I lack motivation but because I get distracted! It's usually while I am scrolling through family pictures of vacations that have come and gone where I get lost in the memories.

These "lost and found again" photos are from a photo shoot I did with a friend that is a make-up artist. I would love someone to do my make-up everyday! That would be heaven to me.

Just back from MAGIC. August has been a crazy crazy month! Hotels have been my home away from home. Had the pleasure of sleeping in my bed nine times so far this month! So last night my fluffy oh so comfortable bed was calling to me :) cuddled up with a new book called Juliet a friend passed along to me. It has been a great companion in the airports I pass through. It's the weekend! Enjoy it friends! I know I will.

Recently I purchased these beauties at JCPenney for the killer price of $17.99! They may stretch out after the first wear, but that isn't anything that can't be fixed with a quick wash and a dry so I can wear them again! Of course I bought a green pair :) Can you that I am obsessed with colored pants!? I know my kids are going to look back at my pictures one day and wonder, "what was she wearing!?" But for today I will strut in my hot pants :)

P.S. These are my new favorite shoes! Had a long day at work, and these jewels lasted 13 hours on my feet! A-MAZ-ING! Kohl's should pay me for how many times I sold these :)

Tested my sewing skills to make a look alike like the beauty at the bottom. Wore it again with a chambray shirt. Amazed how much I love this skirt! Thought the hint of exposed zipper was a fun touch :)

Long over due for a new post! Sorry if you were getting bored out there. Work has been busy with getting ready for the apparel markets coming up. Oh, and I also decided to take a vacation in there too! A week at the lake does a body good :) Is it weird that I am looking forward to staying in a hotel? Crisp clean sheets that get made everyday. My job isn't always glamorous. I'll admit it. Although I do enjoy it! There are times that call for my hands to get a little dirtier than I am dressed for. Today was no exception...I am surprised my pants still look white in this picture! With dirt, grease, and ink stains they went through a lot today. Oh and did I mention a rodeo!? Yes, they went to that too! Pretty big Monday. Hope you had a great one too! Can't wait to show you the skirt I refashioned!

Life is a Journey and I am excited to start a new one! What is it you ask!?! Well....that's the fun part, I DON'T EVEN KNOW YET! Figured I would start prepping myself before so it wasn't such a shock when it comes :) I'm single, healthy, and excited about life why not start a new adventure!? I feel like I have just been going through the motions of everyday life. Being content where my life is right now. Well, I'm shaking things up! After ridding my life of negativity and clutter I am feelin' like a whole new woman! Maybe this whole post was sparked on by an article about places to see before they disappear. Added a few new places to my travel list... Stay tuned to see where it takes me!

Purging my closet!

It hit me last week...I have nothing to wear this summer! I MUST. FIND. NEW. Summer clothing :) That is how every summer is for me. I look back at the past summer and wonder what did I wear!?! If I am being honest Fall is really my fav season to dress for anyways...so really I am just trying to get through summer so I can have Fall! All the options with layering just make the possibilities endless! Something I do with my closet and I looovee is sorting by color. My closet might look a little OCD to some but really it is the best thing I ever did. On that note I have decided to purge my closet. Get rid of those pants I keep saying the dryer/washer shrunk them ;) Ya we have all been there before. It happens to the best of us. Let someone else make memories with them :) Happy cleaning!

Look for Less: Maxi Dress

First! I have to apologies for my blogging absence. Last week I was busy with work and then rushed off to Jackson Hole for the weekend! It was a fun getaway. Met a lot of great people, and shared many talks around the campfire :) If only we had those GIANT marshmallows! Have you seen those!?! They are like five regular mallows put together! Try them if you haven't...they will not disappoint. Great weekend, but glad to be back!

If you haven't noticed a staple in my summer wardrobe by now here's another picture for ya! This summer is all about the maxi. So when I found this little beauty at Wal Mart for $14 I couldn't pass it up. Can't wait to style it differently. Was kind of in a hurry this morning to really put too much thought into it...tomorrow I will spice it up! See you soon :)
