Writer's Block: Rescue mission

If someone intentionally set fire to your home and you had ten minutes to get out, would you try to save the arsonist or your belongings?

Well an arsonist would run away anyway, probably, and be watching what happened from afar, so I think I wouldn't be giving a monkeys what happened to them - I would be grabbing my family (NOT belongings) and getting out.

Writer's Block: Bitter aftertaste

Do you judge people based on their taste in music? How has musical taste either enhanced or detracted from your relationships (including friends, roommates, and romantic partners)?

Erm...no. Music is a personal taste and should be respected as such. Its great, of course, if you and another person share the same taste, but it shouldn't be something to judge an entire person on.

I like everything from Bat for Lashes, to AC/DC. I like Tom Petty  through to Pink Floyd.  Lady Gaga to the Rolling Stones....

.Judge me if you dare.....

You'll just find a person with excellent taste! HA!

Writer's Block: Pet central

Some animal rights activists are fighting to replace the term 'owner' with 'guardian' to convey a more balanced relationship between a person and her or his pet. Do you agree or disagree with the importance of this mission?

I don't see how this can work. I am owned by my cat - there is nothing "balanced" about the relationship! hahahaha. She is not my "guardian" and would abandon me in an instant in the face of any threat! lol

Seriously though - I think this is PC-ness gone mad. We are responsible for our animals, and they would not survive without us. Having the term "Guardian" conveys a sense of freedom on the part of the animal, and suggests that we are responsible for them until they choose to leave us for pastures new. (Which I suppose....applies to cats)

So, no. I am the guardian of my children, but I own my pets.

Just my opinion, but I'm not going to argue the toss.

Writer's Block: Question everything.

Do you often feel that random people ask you a lot of questions? Has anyone ever tried to ask you a lot of questions all at once? When people ask you a lot of questions all at once, do you ignore some of the questions? In those cases where someone asks you a load of questions, do you consider all the questions as one question, or maybe think of them as individual questions? After a lot of questions, if someone asks you to explain your answer, does that count as another question? Explain your answer.

What? Ask me that again...??

Writer's Block: Gone with the wind

What three things do you think will become obsolete in the next ten years, and why?

Cash, Cheque's, and paper Passports.

Cheques are already being phased out, with most shops not even taking a cheque as a form of payment anymore.

Cash is becoming equally redundant, especially in the larger cities, where you can buy everything with a card - even a cup of coffee can be bought with a card that hold a value of under ten pounds. Its possible to go through a whole day without paying cash for anything.

Passports - well with all the scary stuff like body scanning, and all the fake passports that can be made, I reckon that eventually bio-metric identity will be the way to go.

Not that I agree with ANY of this.....I'm just sayin'

Writer's Block: Forever young?

If you were forced to live forever at any age, what age would you choose, and why? What if your memories stopped at your chosen age? How would that impact your decision?

Well, if you were FORCED to live forever at any age, you wouldn't have a decision to make would you?

Sorry, just nit picking.

No, I wouldn't choose to live forever at a specific age. I like getting older, and having memories that come with living life.  I'm not so keen on the prospect of dying, but at least I'm going to die having had a good life!

Writer's Block: To auld lang syne

Do you usually call your friends and/or family on New Year's Eve? Do you watch the countdown or ball drop on TV or choose to ignore it? What are your favorite New Year traditions?

I don't stay up, visit people, or phone people. I don't drink either, so thats probably why I don't do any of the rest.

I just kind of go to bed and ignore it. I usually feel quite happy at the prospect of a new shiny year to play with and make my own, but I'm not into the whole fireworks, getting drunk and kissing strange people thing.

Happy new Year to you all - make it the best ever, and I hope everything you wish for, comes to pass. :

Btw, what the heck is a ball drop??

Writer's Block: Like mobile for chocolate

If you had to give up either chocolate or your mobile phone forever, which would you sacrifice?

HA! Mobile phone, without a moments hesitation!

Never the chocolate.....

Writer's Block: Yes, offense taken

If a friend or relative makes a racist or homophobic remark, do you tend to confront them or let it slide? Are you more likely to confront them if it offends you directly or someone else who seems reluctant to speak up?

Yes, I take offense. Yes I would (and have done) confront the person and asked them to explain themselves. There is no need for racist or homophobic comments, just as there is no need for any other kind of insulting language intended to hurt people.

Ugh - stalker

LOL, another friend has posted this. I said that my cats wouldn't change even of they were called 'guardian'. The relationship wouldn't change, they are still the boss ;-)

It is PC gone mad. I wish…
