WOW where did the last year go?

I can't belive it has been so long since I posted last... Life is WAY TO CRAZY! Trying to keep up with 3 kids and 2 jobs is kicking my butt...

Quick catch up on our lives, Mike is now back in the High Council again, (guess he didn't do it right the first time...just kidding he loves it. Our trucking company has had some MAJOR TOUGH times but we have been blessed to be able to keep our doors open, and not lay anyone off.
I am still working at the school as a sub, but also running my clothing business. Had a few setbacks trying to get my new site up and going.. (major nightmare for about 3 months) things are getting better slowly...
Thatch is 17 now and wrestling season is in full swing, he had to loose 20 lbs. to get down to the weight his coach wanted him at so that has been very challanging considering he didn't have 20 lbs. to loose, he is skin and bones with only 5% body fat. (Wish that was my percentage) but he is wrestling jv and sometimes varsity, he is having a great year so far, I promised him after the season I would make him all of the treats and goodies he had to miss because of the weight.
Rylee is a mat maid this year so she is at all the tournaments with her brother. She is 14 and I can't believe I have 2 teenagers. She is loving life, she has a friend with horses and they go riding about 2 times a week so this takes the presure off of me and having to buy one. WHEW!
Payton, just finished wrestling and is in a singing performance group called Tavaci, anytime he can be at the center of attention is a good time for him.....He just earned his Bear and will joining the Webbelos in January..

I haven't been on in a long time due to the fact of facebook and now I keep forgetting to update. Here is what is going on in our lives. Football has ended and now wrestling is going full swing so there go my saturdays until mid March. Baseball tryouts are next week for Payton, he has decided that he needs to join a comp team, which consists of 25 games plus tournaments, traveling from Idaho to St. George for them. They start practicing in Dec. but the season doesn't begin until March then it goes through the summer. I hope were up for this. I know it's crazy but he loves baseball, football, wrestling and soccer. He said he would give them all up just to play on this league, I hope he makes the team or he might be DEVESTATED!!!!

Thatcher in wrestling for high school and that is his one FAVORITE sport. He is even growing. He told me the other day "Mom, guess what I am now 5'3 I was thrilled for him. He is growing up so fast, he will be 16 in 2 weeks! Which means DATING and DRIVING (legally). He also thinks he needs to have a truck by the time he turns 16, so we look on the web daily.

Rylee is just a mellow blessing, she is learning how to sew and cook and loves doing it. It is great for me cause she helps me make all kinds of things. Right now she is making a cheese cake. Did I say how much I LOVE HER!!!!

Business is going well, I enjoy it ALOT!! I still sub from time to time but my main focus is the business and jewelry.

Mike and I got pegged to speak in sacrament next week, I am not thrilled. Guess what I have to speak on? MODESTY! Maybe the business isn't such a good idea! (ha-ha)

Other than that all is well with us. I will try to do better.

County Fair

We got the county fair over with and now school has begun, where did summer go? We did good a the fair one red and one blue ribbon, the pigs sold and were finished for another year. Now I can catch up on missed sleep.

We spent the 4th at Willard Bay, it is finally open after 2 years of fixing the dike. It is full of fresh water and we had a blast. We took 6 families with us and spent the day. The kids were on the tube non stop. Poor Mike only got to get out of the boat long enough to eat and then the kids were demanding more.

Payton is quite the stunt man on the tube, he is giving his mother more grey hairs! The only down fall of the day is that my oldest was not with us. He is back in South Carolina with his cousins for a week. They are staying at a beach house so he is getting his water time. We truly missed him. Believe it or not Rylee is the one who asks me daily when he is coming home. Who would of thought. I asked her if she missed being held in a head lock and tourtured? She said no but she misses her brother. Wonders never cease!!

Lake Powell

Cousins and friends, we know who was in charge down at powell. 6 adults, 15 kids! This is what they do after staying up all night.

We just got back from Powell and had a great time. The weather was perfect and everyone had a blast. No DRAMA!!!!

I have not had any time to update my blog, I don't even have time to read anymore. This business takes up all my day and then kids and soccer, wrestling and mutual take up every thing else. Quick up date, Thatch and Mike just got back from Idaho Falls on a wrestling tournament he took 3rd and next week they head to Reno for 3 days for another one. I never see my hubby any more.
Rylee and Payton started soccer this week and with Mike gone I get to go and freeze at soccer games all by myself, it is not as fun.
I went to church today and there was no snow and just a little rain. After church there was 3 inches on the cars and a white out. When is spring going to stay.
We had winds really strong last night and I just watched pieces of my roof fly off. At this rate I will need a whole new roof.

I finally have all my invintory organized and up and going but I never knew how much official paper work there is, between state licensing, sales tax, accounts, bank papers and insurance I bet I drove from on place to the next for about a week straight. That is why I have slacked so badly in my blogging.
I love my new business now that I have all the programs and new inventory coming in it just takes so much time. I go down and start work about 8:30 a.m. and don't come up again until I hear the kids come home at 3:00 p.m. My life doesn't exsist anymore. Hopefully now it is going smother it wont take up so much time.

My son is the never ending entertainer. Just about every weekend he plans some kind of party, this time it ended up an airsoft war and Guitar Hero World Tour tournament. Not to mention the boxing that also went on. Oh well at least I know what he is doing and they are at my house so I can control it.... Somewhat.

This is what I get to look forward to about every weekend. BOYS, BOYS and more BOYS!!!

We had a blast for New Year's, we invited 10 families to join us up at our property in Paradise. We had a huge party with WAY more KIDS than adults. There were about 60 people who came and spent the night. Then on New Years Day we had snowmobiles, 4-wheelers and a range rover. They all had sleds behind them and the kids had so much fun. The weather was perfect not cold at all and very nice.

This year we spent our Christmas up at our cabin in Bear Lake. What a blast! When we got up there the snow was less than at home but on Christmas day it snowed and snowed about 11 inches. So by the time we left the mountains had about 3-4 feet of fresh powder. We spent 3 days of just relaxing and enjoying our kids and what a blessing they are to us.

Cousins Came to Stay!

I had my sisters kids for 4 days and they had a blast playing in the snow and then we went down to Willard Bay to see the lights and Santa and his raindeers were there. They had fun building forts with every blanket in the house and playing. They get along so well it's nice.

Festival of the Trees

This year I got the opportunity to be on the committee for the Festival of the Tress. It was such a great experience. There was lots of late nights and a lot of driving an 1 1/2 hour drive each way but I loved it. I was in the gingerbread department. I can't believe how many talented people there are. This castle was 5 ft tall made all out of gingerbread auctioned for $2000, the house is a twilight house with Edward in the tree went for $500, and the handblown glass tree went for $26,000. There were so many awesome items with touching stories that broke your heart. I can't wait to do it again next year.

Teenage Parties!!!

I can not believe I now have a 15 year old. He is driving with a permit and thinking that he has to hang out on the WHOLE WEEKEND!!! He doesn't think me and his dad need to have date night any more because he needs to go to parties or have parties all the time. I don't know what I will do when he actually starts dating.

I have been slacking in my blogging but there is a good reason, I am in the process of buying a new business and have been spending alot of time with that. It is a Internet MODEST Clothing line called Great Lengths Clothing. There is a link on the right so check it out. I just flew down to LA to meet with a clothing manufacturer and bought the new line of Prom dresses. I also decided to bring in day dresses and skirts for women and pre-teen.

I Cut My Hair!!

I finally did it, I cut my HAIR!!! I cut 11 inches off and donated it to Locks of Love. I have always wanted to and my hair got long enough to do it and so I did it. I was afraid that it would be to short after but its not and I love it. I feel 5 pounds lighter. I miss quick ponytails but I feel younger with this new do.

A Great Movie with a GREAT Moral to it!

We just took our kids to a refreshing movie. My friend suggested it because she had seen it and really enjoyed it. So for family night we invited my dad and sue to join us for this movie.
The movie is "Forever Strong" it is about a boy who gets in trouble for drinking and is sent to a juvenile detention center here in Utah, he is a rugby player and now is in his rivals territory playing with them. Watching the changes he goes through and seeing how it is done is so inspiring to want to be better examples to your own kids. It speaks of triumph of the human spirit over human weakness. The part the coach plays is so incredible, if I could parent as well as he coaches I would be awesome.
The best part is there is no language or sex scenes. You walk away feeling so uplifted. My dad loved it so much he sent his college class to see it as homework.
All my kids loved it from Payton who is 7 up to Thatcher who is almost 15. Make sure you stay through the credits it shows pictures of the real Highland team and it is amazing what this coach has done in his career.

Lake Powell without KIDS!!!

Mike & I just got back from Lake Powell. We went with 4 other couples for a week. Talk about pure HEAVEN!
I have never been without kids and it was nice not to be worring about when the kids were at all times, if they had on enough sunscreen and who had on their life jackets.
I even learned how to wake board. That is so fun, it's not to hard to get up, but the staying up and the VERY PAINFUL CRASHES were not so fun. I am no longer young and I felt the abuse the next morning. But it was worth it.
I felt bad Mike had to go with his foot in a cast but that didn't stop him from having fun and totally relaxing. Which is what both of us needed. After spending the summer selling and moving houses it was a great break for us. I am so greatfull we had the chance to go. Not to mention the weather was incredible, high 90's in the day and cooling down to the high 50's at night. My only complaint is that it went way to fast.

Getting Gas is now a DANGEROUS thing!

Who would have thought that just getting out of your truck to get gas would be dangerous, only if your my husband!!

He stepped out to get gas and rolled his foot. He walked around on it for a week as is kept swelling and turning black and blue. His only response was its just sore and spranged, if its not better in a week I'll have a doctor look at it.

So when I got the phone call telling me that the long bone on the outside of his foot was broken clean through, I laughed, talk about a sympathetic wife, I laughed because he was so sure it was not anything to worry about.

We leave for Lake Powell in a week and he is in a cast for 6 weeks. Life is just full of surprises.
