I had to show you the beautiful gift I received in Chookyblues SSCS swap.-

the lovely Anne Heidi sent me this so cute snowman ornament for my tree.

Cute hey... I LOVE it to bits!!!

Hi Girls....

Busy, busy, busy.

This is the cushion I sent to Megan in Khristina's Friends Swap.

A "Friendship" cushion

Back in September I travel to Nowra to attend a retreat with Anni Downs.

This was my birthday present from my mum.

She is the one in the blue....lol.

Here is some of her work... but I can't show you her project we worked on...

until she release it next year.

Then in October, up to the mountains I went.... another retreat.

A Christmas theme retreat.

This is Michelle Marvig Christmas cushion.

I have half made this cushion.. but I don't think it will be finished before Christmas.

This is Vicky Porters project....

Then last month I went to Bathurst to attend a bloggers meet and of course did some shopping

at Hatched and Patched.

We all had to bring along a gift.. and yes I received the most beautiful scarf from Kylie...

I can't wait for it to get colder again just to wear it.

When you don't get invited into a photo...

What's a girl to do.. but photo bomb it...lol

Yes I am alive!!!

I have been sewing and very busy!

I finished my bag in the Stitch-a-long.

I celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary in Vanuatu.

It was also my birthday.

I then travel to Nowra with the lovely Kim as our host.

Anni Downs from Hatched and Patched was the designer

(I can't show you the actual project - it hasn't been release as yet)

Here are all the ladies and the lovely Anni.

My dear husband was in an accident on the 10th October.

He was on his bike and was hit by a taxi.

Broken wrist and heaps of bruises.

He had one operation on his wrist last week. He is feeling heaps better.

I was also hit by a car around 3 years ago... not many couples have this in common.. hey.

You just never know what is around the corner.

Sending heaps of prayers to those affected by the bush fires.

This is a good friend of the family.

She came to me wanting to make a quilt for another friends "18th".

Great job!!!

My daughter turned "18".. I wish I was that age again with the knowledge and "wisdom" I know now.. anyway she had a "High tea" with her girlfriends..

She made all of the food...

Yes... I am still alive...lol.

I have been so busy with life that blogging life has been put on hold for a while... but I am back!!

I have been very busy before Christmas with many swaps...

The LOVELY chooky organised again the SSCS swap.

I received my gifts from the LOVELY Shiree - all the way from New Zealand..

The Stitching Post retreat.

Last Friday.... I travel by car to pick up two of my sewing friends.. Robyn and Ros.

Ros had travel from WA to catch up with me. I picked her up from South Windsor not WA. LOL

Do you believe it was snowing in Katoomba, (crazy weather in Australia) so we were delayed for over 4 hours.

But once we were there it was well worth the delay.

Robyn, Ros, Karen (Stitching Post) and Stephanie (we only meet her on the weekend)

Here are the designers from the weekend. Carol, Lisa, Karen's husband?? Gail and Karen.

I will have to show you what we were making once I finished them sorry... forgot to take photo's.. silly me.

And these crazy ladies... Ros, Gail Pan and me.

Do you believe I have finished my quilt top for SKOW - by Anni Downs.

On Tuesday, it going to get the finishing touches... quilting. Yay

It was my birthday last weekend.... and I was spoilt from my swap groups and blogging friends.

Sue Spargo Workshop at Hatched and Patched.

Last Monday afternoon.... after work I drove to Bathurst with my lovely mum.

We went to a great workshop at Hatched and Patched with Sue Spargo.

Her quilts are even better up close and in the fresh.

I just LOVED the quilting in this one.

The embroidery in this one was just so beautiful.

This quilt represents the countries that Sue has been teaching over the many years.

(sorry for the bad picture).

This one was just as beautiful as the others.

In the workshop, Anni Downs sat next to me.... she was working on her master piece.

Tuesday night dinner was pizza... (yum) with Anni and her lovely family, Sue and Wendy (Sue's sister) with many others.

It was lovely to be able to sit with Sue and Anni to chat about sewing and quilting.

Last year I was involved in the "Friends" swap and Khris was my partner..

she sent me her Sling bag pattern and fabric.

Last week, my stressful daughter wanted some time out from her HSC studies...

So I showed her this kit.. and look what she did.

I think she did a great job.

Sewing is a great way to relieve stress..

Anyway, back to study Jess!!!

I have had one of those weeks... feeling a little down.

So what should a girl do.. but sew something nice.

I wanted to make a bag to hold my goodies from the Sydney Quilt show next week.

I was so excited when I found another fabric shop in Japan.

And yes I had to buy some fabric... I think my bag is going to be very heavy.

Eating a traditional breakfast...

My kids kept asking me, "What is that black stuff".

I said, "I don't know, just keep smiling"

We manage to see a "Geisha" show... .

It was so pretty.

Well, so little time and so many fabric shops.... (I wish).

We are finally here....

After a 9 hour flight and 5 hours in three bullet trains... we are finally at our first stop for 3 days.

Hakata - Japan.

We were all very happy to finally been here.

We went out for our first meal... but no one could speak english..

So my husband Ben said "Just point to the pictures and they will know what we want"

and yes it did work.

I was struggling using the chop sticks.. so they gave me the only fork in the whole place.

Quilt and Easter Swap

A friend at work is having a baby, but with life so busy and going away I didn't get

a chance to make her a baby quilt.

I was reading a blog - Rachel of Four Wise Monkeys..

She was selling this cute quilt... and at a great price.

It is just so cute.

She just loved it. The baby is due while we are away.

Iwas in a Easter swap and check out what Tarnyia made me.

The just too cute table topper.

I also receive some chocolates, a cute Japanese key right, charm squares and cute bunny ears.

I just LOVE it all!!!

We were all ready to go on our trip... and they have delay our flight until tomorrow night.

Easter Swap

I was in a Easter swap organise by the lovely Maree.

I had the pleasure of sending my gifts to Michelle.

I made this cute candle mat design by Bareroots...

I also made a bag in Homespun call "The Chocolate Chase" by Natalie Lymer.

And I also found the cute rabbit tin online from England.

I did include a yummy chocolate rabbit!!!
