I guess it was one heck of a weekend because it's now Wed of the following week. Ok, let's see where to wrap up my weekend and through the week. I fell off the diet. I had some good meals and some not so good. Friday I ate out at El Pollo Loco since we didn't have the boys and I didn't watch what I ate, I just went with it until I was full. I ate Mac N Cheese and potatoes and gravy. Saturday I tried to watch what I ate and did an oatmeal for breakfast at McDonalds, lunch at home. But I went over on dinner and ate two bbq chicken sandwhiches. I was fine at dinner but when we got home late, I saw everyone eating a snack and I caved. Sunday was Father's Day so I took Chris out for breakfast and ate at Carl's Jr. I didn't eat healthy at all. I snacked on M&M's. Dinner I ate Curry Chicken and rice. Since it was Father's Day I fixed cherry cheesecake and ate it. Ok, since Monday and Tuesday some meals went well but by the end of the day I was still hungry so I caved into my cravings. I need to pull myself back in since I went overboard and a little crazy. Even today I had a chocolate donut. I need to rein myself back in and look at my goals again and get on track this week. Tomorrow I will post a better day.The biznizzlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07876661446786327785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176276841692750031.post-77561700258124870652014-06-12T21:31:00.001-07:002014-06-12T21:31:34.097-07:00Thursday is not quite FridayDidn't post yesterday because it was so busy I didn't get home until around 11p.m. I did my workout then went with the family to watch Robbie's 7 on 7 JV football practice. It lasted so long that we didn't even eat until 9:30 at night! By that time I was starving. I went over in calories and split a protein bar with the kids to help my hunger at football. I had planned a quick heat up dinner but we were so starving that we went to McDonalds and couldn't wait to get home. It just was one of those nights we were in a bind and went for the quick fix. It seems with sports and kids it happens a lot. I tried to stay good and had a hamburger. I did sneak in a chicken nugget from one of the kids' meals. I felt like I could've eaten 10 more.

I do have a confession that I also ate 2 Paradise Bakery chippers. My boss asked me if I wanted a cookie when she went to grab me a drink and I didn't even think to say no thanks, as I usually always say yes that'd be great. It just slipped out by remote. So once it was in front of me I couldn't resist. So Wed was my challenge day that I slipped up a little. I ended up being over 150 calories. Other than that I did breakfast and lunch healthy.

Thursday-I was perfectly within my calorie budget. I worked out for the 4th day of the week. Yeah me! And I also resisted the box of chippers from Paradise Bakery that she gave me. I put a sticky note on the box for everyone to help themselves to the box to help the resistance go faster.
B-protein shake
L-1/2 banana with greek yogurt and peanut butter dip-yummy!
1/4 cup leftover roast
1/2 cup corn
Snack-1/2 banana from lunch
whole wheat bread slice with butter
D-grilled stuffed hamburger on whole wheat bun. Stuffed with olives, mushrooms and cheese! So good! The biznizzlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07876661446786327785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176276841692750031.post-78282204910818344332014-06-10T22:04:00.002-07:002014-06-10T22:04:29.056-07:00Tuesday , Tuesday , TuesdayWell, the day started out right. I got up with Jace to take him to scout camp at 6:30 a.m. Got dressed in my workout clothes and ran a mile. I haven't run for about 3 weeks. I ate right and was really craving something sweet or bread-like. Brownies or cookies. So I started looking up on pinterest some clean eating recipes and re-calculating the amount of calories I had left to eat.

Then I got a phone call from work.

I was so stressed out and so upset that I didn't want to eat anything anymore. I did do my Wod for the day. I was thinking of maybe running with Kendra but I scrapped that. The Wod was a really quick 6 min one again. So now I'm under calories-didn't even make it to 1200 calories and I know I'm putting myself into starvation mode but I really have no appetite. So I'm going to just go to bed since I have to get up at the crack of dawn to do stupid things that work calls for. I did pass up on my husbands M&M's he bought and put on the side of my bed for temptation. It's great that I'm too upset to eat it. Hopefully tomorrow goes better. The biznizzlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07876661446786327785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176276841692750031.post-84760212718407796782014-06-09T20:25:00.001-07:002014-06-09T20:27:36.158-07:00My dedication to eating right & working outSo I'm renewing my commitment to eating right & working out. I read somewhere to write it in a blog, and since I have this blog but haven't used it for a couple of years I figure I'd better start using it again. I'm going to write in this daily to keep myself responsible for eating and exercising.

Here are my goals:

To eat clean-replacing white bread and pastas with whole wheat. To limit sweets and fried foods. To drink more water and limit my diet sodas. To eventually get where I can go 4-7 weeks without any sweets.

To exercise 4-6 times a week.

To be able to look good in a bikini, with a nice flat stomach.

Ok, so now that I wrote out my goals I made a new wall of pictures and motivational quotes I taped to my closet door so I see it daily. I also cut out a picture of a great looking stomach that I carry in my purse so when I'm eating out I can look at it before I make any choices to remind me of my goal so I can make a good eating choice.

Okay since it's only Monday I've immediately wanted ice cream yesterday. Didn't help that Chris bought my favorite Mint Cookies and Cream. I told myself I can have ONE scoop if I make it through the Friday by eating clean. Here is what I've done so far:

Sun:
B-mcdonalds sausage & egg burrito-ate insides only, no tortilla
L-egg omelet with cheese, spinach & sausage
D-Barros 1 pepperoni slice & 4-6 boneless wings (I didn't really count)
Ok I can explain Barros-my Aunt & mom took the family out for dinner so I limited my pizza slice and even though I saw crusts left on the kids' plate I resisted it. Was still over in calories though.

Mon:
B-protein shake
L-chicken spinach hummus wrap with whole wheat tortilla & grapes
D-t-bone steak, corn, brown rice
S-Kashi cereal
stayed within my calories. Did my crossfit wod. Only 6 min though-very quick wod but got my heart pumping & light sweat. Drank lots of water & only 3/4 of a diet today. Very proud of myself!
From all the neat places I have been and all the things I have seen, nothing compares to being with my beautiful wife as well as nothing is more awe inspiring or enjoyable to look at than my childrens smile as they rush to see me when I come home from work. The most valuable treasure in the world is the family. Money and fame are fleeting but a family is forever. I look forward to being home in a few short hours and giving each of my kids a big hug and a kiss, that includes Robbie no matter how old he thinks he is, and just enjoying the craziness that is my home. The biznizzlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07876661446786327785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176276841692750031.post-45168149061576501722011-09-05T22:41:00.000-07:002011-09-05T23:21:02.592-07:00Labor Day Weekend-Spring Cleaning!

I dedicate this post to Monica Coates, who showed me pinterest.com. The website inspired me not just to look into decorating styles for Kendra's bedroom, but doing so many different crafts & organizing my house. So since I happened to have a four day weekend, we rearranged the bedrooms, and in doing so we completely vacuumed every inch of all three kids' rooms. We organized closets, including ours! Everyone got a complete dusting from fans to window sills. I know spring has long gone, and we are soon heading into fall (even though it's still 110 degrees outside) but we finally did the spring cleaning and even donated 2 1/2 huge black garbage bags!

I also started in on some craft projects as well. The dollar store is amazing and I bought a ton of bins for Robbie's room. I also tried my hand at making my own apothecary jars. I love them to decorate with, and they are beautiful to fill during parties, yet so expensive. I thought I was so thrifty at finding them at Ross and Marshalls for $6-$15, but pinterest.com showed me that I could make my own for just a few $! Here's a pic of my Dollar store finds. Tons of bins, my jars, small plastic bins to organize a drawer, and I couldn't pass up on nail polish stripers.

I bought some small jars at the dollar store, but then I went to the Goodwill and hit the jackpot! We are so excited to begin football season 2011. Here is a preview of what Robbie's looks like so far. Here's some photo footage of the MM Forces against the Coyotes and Bulldogs. We won our last game against the Six Shooters and are still undefeated! More to come about that game later.

The boys both won their games against the Cardinals. Robbie's team was something like 40-0. Here's how it all went down for Robbie:

(please turn off the music on the playlist on the blog to listen to the sahweet music on the video!)

Coming soon...Jace's team

The biznizzlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07876661446786327785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176276841692750031.post-31964471205550059262010-09-12T18:44:00.000-07:002010-09-13T23:12:37.177-07:00Special Forces 2 games, UNDEAFETED!Both boys have won both their games against the Coyotes and the Rams. This week's games against the Rams were expected to be tough, as the Rams in Robbie's division won the championship last year and we lost both times to them. However, the score was 19-6. Robbie scored the third touch down and extra point. He actually had another touchdown but they had a penalty on it. And on the last play of the game, as safety, he tipped the ball away from their all-star player #98 (sorry if anyone reading this knows this Rams player) so they didn't score, saving the game and we won!
Jace's division was 45-0. Hmmm, hard to write about this destruction without sounding un-sportsmanlike, but hey-gotta tell it like it is, right? I'm a proud parent, gotta gloat when I can! Jace had 4 or 5 touchdowns.

Check out the clips of each of their games. And on a side-note, if you go to www.styfl.com on the homepage, the top photos will start scrolling. Two weeks for two hours every night, every day during the week. We don't usually see our house until 8:30 at night! But first before the buzz cut comes, the boys get to wear mohawks. Even Barrett got one. It was his very first haircut and I was sad. His hair is the most like Chris before he lost it all-naturally curly especially when it's humid. I really wish he'd given this to Kendra as it's wasted on a boy. I kept it while it lasted, but knew we'd have to cut it eventually. So Barrett got his first haircut, while Robbie was promised this was his last summer he'd have to wear his hair this way. Robbie's getting to the age that he's starting to worry about how he looks. My favorite part during the haircutting process was him asking if it was going to grow back because dad "lost his hair at a young age" to which Chris reponded, "yeah, but not that young of an age!"The biznizzlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07876661446786327785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176276841692750031.post-34743542063486731832010-04-06T16:47:00.000-07:002010-04-06T16:56:34.576-07:00I know it's off season but..Look who's on ESPN!!

It's one of his favorite stores besides Dicks. I have to be in a good shopping mood to go in there with him as it takes him HOURS to shop there. I actually like the store, but I'm usually done within a fifteen minute to the most half-an-hour range, which leaves me wandering aimlessly for a very long time. I got Chris a gift card to Marshalls this Christmas which I thought was appropriate for him. I was going to do Ross too, but forgot that there was one on my way home from work.

So, last week Chris and I met on our lunch break. I thought I had agreed to meet at Fiesta Mall, but he told me to go to the Marshalls/old Best Buy parking lot and promised we would eat. But to our amazement there was a store closing sign in front of the Marshalls store with the entire store an additional 20% off! I figured it was worth it to skip lunch and check it out. Needless to say, I was late getting back to work. Then the next day, my assistant manager called me at work to tell me she saw Chris in there again when she went. I was kind of not surprised.

They always have lots of Quiksilver, Hurley stuff for the boys. But one of the things we are always on the lookout for is Nike Football shirts. Even Barrett has a collection going just like his big bro's. I get a big kick out of the littler sizes when Chris finds them and brings it home. Here's a pic just a few of the shirts from our stash for Barrett. The biznizzlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07876661446786327785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176276841692750031.post-38191332709162363312009-12-17T17:24:00.000-08:002009-12-20T18:15:28.328-08:00Bear's a Panda BearWe give our kids nicknames in our family. Robbie is rob-bob or robbie-bobbie (based off of Chris's nickname-if you don't know that one you'll have to ask him if you want to know), Jace is Jacer, nothing too fancy, Barrette is Bear, just a shorter version, and Kendra is...well, I can think of many names that we call her (Miss Priss, crazy, gum-a-holic) but nothing based on her name.

I'm really thankful for my kids. Each one of them are different, each of them have some similarities in personality. And I really love them the same, yet different way. Our newest one, Bear is so sweet. Easy-going baby like Robbie was-very smiley, very laid back. He's fun to dress, not as fun as a girl, but since I work at a kids clothing store, I make do with the boys section while I have the chance. When I had the chance I snapped some photos of him. This was my favorite line from the newborn panda collection that we bought so much of before we even thought of having another (well, before I thought of having another, Chris on the other hand was for SURE having another!)

Robbie turned 11 and we celebrated his birthday with a football party for him and his friends. He made $75 that day in cash alone! Wow! He got his Webelos and Arrow of Light Awards. This last weekend we had Kendra's Birthday then went to the Might Mites Special Forces party that night, and then hosted the Bond family Xmas party the next night. Next weekend we've got the Jr. PeeWee Special Forces party and UofP work party too! I don't know how many more parties we can take! But if you have a party and have an invitation for us, I'm sure we'll be there...

Bak Bak!A quote from the lyrics by Queen sums up this post: "We are the champions my friends."

Yes, Jace and his team beat the Eagles 13-7! It was a close game, the Eagles were a good team to go up against, but they pulled it through and won the championship! Go Forces! We're so proud of the boys, they played so hard. I know many of the parents were just as nervous as the boys. Chris didn't want to think too hard about it because then he'd get butterflies. They came out strong, but it wasn't a walk in the park, the boys really had to work for it. The Eagles had changed their defense, for awhile it seemed like the boys couldn't get any leverage in offense. The announcer was a biased Eagle coach for the older boys, and the referees were seen tailgating with the Eagle team! But our boys worked so hard and pulled it through! I was even pleasantly surprised that the announcer even announced Jace's tackle. We had a great first season for our intro to tackle!

I think it was alot of fun seeing how dedicated and passionate Chris was in teaching his kids this sport. We had a blast being with the parents of the team. It was great to tailgate with our group early in the morning before football games and have a Halloween party with them. I was just commenting to Chris as we were getting ready for it that morning, if we had all girls like some of our friends, we would just be getting ready for dance competitions right now instead. Chris probably would've had a mental breakdown before this and I don't think he would've wanted to go for four kids LOL!

I also have to give props to Robbie for a great season as well. He really grew this season in both attitude and ability. Given what little coaching he had (Chris could go on and on about that one and the reason why they didn't make it into the championship), he really excelled. He tried hard, he didn't give up or whine about anything. We're so proud he found something he likes to do besides play xbox! Unfortunately his peewee jr. team didn't make it into the championship. The boys in his team were so talented as well and they did everything that the coaches asked of them. They were a bunch of great boys as well. I leave this post with a bunch of pics from the championship and some action shots of Robbie's playoff games against the Rams.
I have come to the realization that my husband is even more of a maniac about sports when it comes to tackle football. I've seen him watch sports, and he's pretty into it. He does fantasy football every year, he plays softball whenever he gets the chance, and put together his own team this year, he does turkey bowl annually and changed my family package channels to the sports package. I also thought he was really dedicated when he became the coach of Jace's flag football and the boys' baseball teams. As the kids went from recreational to competitive leagues, he really got more competitive. The kids new plays, ran routes on command. He drew a play book for studying. He really dedicated his time.

This year we signed the boys up for tackle football instead of flag. Robbie had done a tackle camp over the spring and seemed to like it. Jace, of course wanted to do anything and everything. But boy does this tackle football thing take dedication and time--and really brings out the maniac in Chris! I swear we could own our own Dicks Sporting Goods store (Chris' fav store besides Ross/Marshalls) in football gear. The kids own tons of dry fit shirts, Robbie is now on his third, yes, third pair of football cleats since the season started in August. We've upgraded in hand gloves, mouthguards, and even water bottles. Chris loves to go to Ross or Marshalls because if you hit it right you can find all kinds of cheap dryfit shirts and the boys needed a lot because they were practicing five days a week. He even took the boys out of school to take Robbie to see the sports therapist of the AZ Rattlers to see what he could do to run differently and show him drills to make him faster.

Originally, he was going to relax this season and just be a spectator because he's going to school for his masters. If you know Chris, that's just not going to happen. He can't go without giving his opinion. So, instead of telling him to get off the field and sit down (like I would've done, ha!) they gave him a photographer/videographer pass so he could be on the field since he's not truly a "coach." I think a true testament for his love and dedication has shown in the kids as Robbie survived two weeks of workout in the sun five days a week for two hours each day and didn't quit. And Jace, well, Jace just became more of an athlete and learned how to play football the tackle version way.

So, I gotta give him props and the award for crazy, maniac 210% sports dad. He gives going above and beyond a different meaning. Happy B-day hunny.

But as a spectator and cheer mom, it's been fun watching everyone. Even Kendra gets into it, as she is part of the cheerleading group for Robbie's team. Both boys' won their games this week. Jace went 38-0 against the Bulldogs. Robbie was 20-6 against the Rattlers. A perfect beginning to Chris's birthday. (Thank goodness because I might end up hearing about it all day long). Here are some pictures I took with the Special Forces against the Rams. Jace's group the mighty mites Special Forces won against the Rams and Robbie's group, Junior PeeWee Special Forces against the Rams lost.

The biznizzlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07876661446786327785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176276841692750031.post-50153684750706445582009-07-04T10:08:00.000-07:002009-07-04T10:10:09.542-07:00Happy 4th of July!
Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July! I was looking forward to cleaning and getting all the things that I used to accomplish done before I went to work full-time-such as some organizing and housework, but I'm sadly lacking motivation in that area. So I've decided to concentrate on things that I missed out when I went back to work such as doing what I want to do when I want to do it, reading books, watching t.v., and exercising. Yes, I actually like to exercise. I hate to run, but I like to work out. Right now I just started P90x. Yes, it's an infomercial program, but I had bought P90 and other programs from the same company-not over the phone, but ebay and got back into shape after having Kendra. I can't wait until I can fit back into my pants and have a whole closet of clothes to choose from.

Right now I'm re-reading a book from Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Yes, it's a romance book. And (gasp) I also like vampire romance books too. However, I AM very picky on my books and just won't read anything romance.

Luckily my favorite t.v. program is airing-SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. I've watched all the seasons since it started. We're also watching Burn Notice-very macgyver entertaining. And my re-runs of House as I wasn't able to watch parts of last season due to our broken replay tv recorder and my busy schedule. My store just called today (drives Chris nuts, but I love to micr0-manage and work from home) reminding me that I'm glad I'm taking time off. Yay, I miss inventory and new line! The kids start swim lessons next week so I get to be somewhat involved again in their activities. All-in-all it's been a good summer and I know it will go by way to quickly. I've added a song that I was reminded that I liked off of so you think you can dance this week. P.S. the show is auditioning this month on the 26th for the next season for all you dancers, and no there is no way I'm showing up to that-way to fat now, out of shape, and definitely not good enough anymore. The biznizzlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07876661446786327785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176276841692750031.post-88667861514995484702009-06-11T00:34:00.000-07:002009-06-11T00:55:52.143-07:00Baby Firsts
<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; I know I promised earlier but I was a little too busy. Anyways, Barrett arrived on Monday and was a strapping 5lbs and 8ozs. Unfortunately he was a facial presentation birth so his face came out first and was severely bruised because of it. His whole right side of his face was swollen and bruised so bad it was purple. His eye was swollen shut and he was unable to open it for 3 days. Needless to say, he is home and we are happy. He is now equipped with a photo-blanket that is helping with the jaundice because of his severe bruising but hopefully he will soon be rid of that and be a normal little baby. I changed the song to Honey Baby because Laura used to think it said Honey B Bear and as our babies name is Barrett or Bear for short, I thought it was a great song to give to my wife and new baby.
