In April, we had an FHE where we got our garden started. Brad is going all out this year. He has

3 pumpkin plants
1 big max pumpkin plant (they grow the 100 lb+ pumpkins)

He went a little crazy. at least i have everything for my salsa!

Franklin turned 1 in May! He probably weighs about 160 lbs, although that is just a guess since we haven't weighed him since last fall. When he sits, he comes up to my chest. He is an awesome dog...very mellow and well behaved. Love this little guy!

We took the kids on a drive out to Antelope island on Memorial weekend. It was a lot of fun because there was free ranging buffalo all over. There was also a little (emphasis on the little) festival at the ranch there.

For Memorial day, we took a drive out to Brad's grandma and grandpa's graves. His grandpa is the grandpa that mack is named after. Why is mack not in any of the pics? He refused to be.

I'm pretty proud of myself! I went to the nursery all by myself and bought the plants for my flower gardens. I just kind of winged it. I laid them all out and then my mother in law came over and helped me plant them all! I thought they turned out great!

I had my 26th bday in May. It was a great bday. Brad actually got me a present! He bought me a 9mm hand gun. Just what I wanted! Here are a few pics from my bday dinner at brad's parents house.

Cruise Part 2

The second part of our cruise was just as fab as the first part! Although, it was cold and rainy.

Our second port was Boston! Brad's major to do in Boston was tour Fenway Park where the REd Sox play. They are his favorite team. It was a very cool field!

Our last port was Newport, RI. I was so excited for this port. And then it poured and poured while we were there, so we had to change our plans. I want to go back there someday so we can do all the cute little shops, restaurants and tours they have there. It was absolutely beautiful.

We ended up taking a small bus tour. You see, Newport is a place where the rich (and I mean Vanderbilt rich) have their summer "cottages". Here are a few of the amazing mansions we drove past:

We docked back in Baltimore and drove back up to Philly. When we got there, we went and toured the Phillies ball field. It was beautiful.

The only reason we came home from vacation was because we missed our kids. If we would have had them with me, we would never have come back.

Cruise Part 1

Brad and I had the amazing opportunity to go on a second honeymoon in May. It was our first trip just the two of us since our honeymoon almost 6 years ago.

We flew into Philadelphia and had a few hours before we had to be on our ship, so we did a little sight seeing.

The Liberty Bell...honestly, I love the history behind it and what it stands for. However, like the Sistine Chapel that I saw in Rome, It was kind of anticlimactic. Still, it was cool to check that off my list.

Where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States was drafted and signed.

Then we drove down to Baltimore. The entire time I was there, I had the song "Good morning baltimore" from Hairspray stuck in my head. One of my all time favorite movies.

We still had a little time before we had to be on the ship, so we went and toured Camden Yards where the Baltimore Orioles play. It was a beautiful field!

Our first port of call was Bermuda. It was our first time being there, and I was surprised at how mild the temperature was. It was only about 75 there, and not humid at all. Very very different from the caribbean! But, it was so beautiful there. Luckily, we got to stay overnight there.

It was an hour long bus ride from the cruise ship into the town of Hamilton. But, there were beautiful, bright colored homes all over. it was a treat! They were all pretty well kept too.

We went to the Crystal Caves. THey were pretty awesome. I had never been in a limestone cave before. Well worth it.

The second day, we decided to stay around the cruise ship. There was an old military fortress right where the cruise docks that had been turned into a museum, so we decided to tour that.

THey had a dolphin adventure right there in the middle of the courtyard of the old fortress. You could pay to swim with the dolphins, but it was free to just come up and watch others do it. It was pretty cool, since I've never really seen a dolphin up close and personal before.

I would definitely go back to Bermuda some day. There seemed to be so much to do there, and it was such a different atmosphere than other places we had been. Much cleaner and a safer feel than Mexico.
