The flight from AR to CO went well. But after getting back on the ground there were issues that had to be delt with.
The state chose myself, three other foster parents and a supervisor to attend a foster parent convention in Denver. It was all planned and paid for by the state.
The only choice we had was to choose what we wanted to eat. All else was planned by the travel agent the state hired.
After landing G our designated driver picked up the rental car that was reserved for us to use while we were in CO.
We packed the luggage in the trunk of the car that we could get in it. The car we were given was a small one. We had to put some of our things in our laps and by our feet. G had to get out and close the door for me, with all the things in my lap I could not reach the door handle. We ladies were packed in like sardines in a can.

We headed off to the hotel to check in. The drive was going well until about half way to the hotel the car motor was racing and the car was going nowhere.
The only choice G had was to let the car roll down the incline we were on until he could find a place to get off
and turn around.
The replacement car was not much larger but the motor was enough to get us and all the luggage up that incline.
We were moving right along when all of a sudden the hood flew up and G could not see anything but the underside of the car hood. He managed to get over to the side of the street and put the hood back down.
The car we were in was much smaller than the one in this photo.

We finally made it to the hotel and all went well from then on. Our time in CO and at the convention was enjoyed by all.
We laughed about what had happened the whole time we were there and I still do today.
