We were supposed to start this at the beginning of this year. And we did. But it only lasted about 3 days. So here's to starting again today and lasting all 90 days!! So far, my favorite is Plyometric, because it is the X in P90X. That tony guy is a character. To somewhat harder bodies in 2012!

**warning** this post will contain cheesy content. don't read on if you think that's annoying (sometimes i do.) Me and the Mr. celebrated a year of marriage on Nov. 18! we made it! We spent the weekend in Las Vegas playing roulette, cuddling, shopping our bums off, eating out A LOT, kissing a lot, and seeing the Lion King on broadway. And let me just say that it was amazing. We even ate basically the whole top tier of our wedding cake, because it was somehow way better the second time around. *pictures to come. But to my dear husband, I am happy to inform you that I still think marrying you was the best decision of my life, even after a year. I will be completely honest and agree with others who have said that, the first year was probably the hardest. But I think of that as a positive thing. Because it was tough. And there were lots of tears. But there was even more kissing and laughing and having so much fun together. So we can pretty much get through anything now, wouldn't you say? Remember moving to California together? Our first night in our own place. We were spoiled that first year with our time, and I already miss getting to spend 90% of my day with you. Everything is more enjoyable with you. Remember when we decided we thought boxers were cute? So we went to the mac store because we didnt have internet, and searched for hours just to go hold a puppy. Then ended up bringing Duke home? Typical of us to rush into that! But we love him and haven't regretted it! (except that second week when he was getting more attention than me. seriously kass?) Remember when you gave me my first blessing from you? And it brought me to the decision that probably saved my life. You let me cry when I needed to. You sat with me for five days in the hospital, never complaining once of how boring it was. And it was. You were so supportive, and I think that was the very first time I realized how much you truly loved me. Thank you for loving me like I have always wanted. I can't wait for a billion more years together. But more than that, I am looking forward to the next 3 years. I feel like they will be really good ones. Having a baby and getting our first house. We are going to become actual grown ups. And that baby is going to be cute. I love you more than you love red vines.

October is a good month in the Carter household. We each got a year older, husband is 26 and im 23, plus Halloween! We also took a two day road trip to San Clemente to see cade's little sister's senior dance solo. That girl is amazing. Plus some family pictures to come soon. We both have new jobs and our health is officially good again. October, we had fun. Until next year...

babies and weddings

Today has been just one of those days. If you don't know already, me and Cade are a little baby hungry. Him actually way more than me. Well we found out today that we can't start trying for one year which was kind of disappointing. So no Carter babe coming soon. But we do have two on the way in the family!
These guys are expecting a little baby GIRL in 8 weeks! (They make pretty cute babies.)

And these guys just found out they are having a BOY!! They are due in February.
(I bet they will make dang cute babies too.)

AND One of my best friends, Carli Grampp became Carli Williams last Saturday. She married cute Raleigh, which is the cutest name, and their wedding was pretty much perfect. I was lucky enough to attend their sweet sealing, which was done by Neil L. Anderson and was so awesome. Their reception was the perfect combination of romantic and chill. Plus, our friends love any excuse to get together and talk all night. This was a great day. Love you guys.

We now have a plus one in the Carter family.
Meet mr. duke.
He is an adorable Boxer pup that is now 9 weeks old, just a babe. We got him from a breeder in LA and we could not be more happy about our choice! Sadly he has been sick since 2 days after we got him. He has had lots of trips to the vet until he was finally diagnosed with puppy strangles. It is a sickness that puppies can get, there is no known cause. But he is on the road to a full recovery with his medication, and he will be completely perfect in about two weeks! Isn't he adorable?
ps sorry it is so hard to blog with no computer. Plus I like to blog with pictures, not really text, and I have no computer to upload our pictures onto. Come September, there will be a long blog post about our summer in San Diego that we are just lovin!

so it would seem that since moving to california, our luck has gone down the hill... and then some.
i started feeling bad for myself last night after dropping my week old new blackberry into the toilet and having it officially die. feeling bad that now cade has a brick of a phone with no camera because he is such a good husband that he gave me his nice phone. then started feeling some more bad because he has gotten 3 tickets since we have gotten here to california, and i got my car towed (it costs 250 dollars to tow your car here. did you know that?) and who knew that in order to be in california, if you drove with any license besides a california license, it cost you 350 dollars? yep not us. so i had a tiny pity party until i realized i am so happy with my husband right now. he cheers me up, he makes me laugh, he kisses me over and over just because i cant get enough, even though im sure he gets sick of it. we have amazing scriptures that we read and learn from every night, and im lucky enough to have a really smart husband who can answer all of my questions about them. and believe me i have a lot. plus we have really great families who love us, and i get to go home and see mine soon. and we are healthy and just happy. so i told myself to stop complaining and to appreciate what i have, and guess what, it worked!

yep. this is happening. i guess i have a lot to say since i haven't for awhile!
really i just forgot to post about this project i finished a couple of weeks ago. i am actually quite proud of my result considering the difference in price. i was originially inspired by this...

this was hanging in my friends house. and i loved it. the cost of this is a whopping $250.00. Well i took a picture of it, bought my own wood, made my own frame, and started painting. i spent a total of $10.00. the biggest difference is i couldn't find the exact stencil and so the writing is a little different. but for a $240.00 dollar discount, i will take it! this was my end result...

the carters got the fever.
i have never been a justin bieber fan. i dont dislike him, i just never cared about him. neither did cade. but then never say never came to red box, which we rent one a day, and we got the fever. The bieber fever. how can you not love him in a "i want to squish you way?"
i will admit, all of the crying fans was a little crazy, but when he brings a girl onstage to serenade, i got a little teary. pathetic i know. but he was so cute to them and he probably made their lives by acting so happy to do it for them. each and every one of them was bawling. justin you are a talented little sweetie.

california bound

i haven't been able to blog for centuries. or watch my tv shows. we are officially here in san diego, with no cable or internet , and not planning on getting any. which is surprisingly been great! more quality time with the hubs. i have internet at work now for the last hour of the day when i am alone so i will try to blog. we have lots pictures from easter and moving and decorating our new place, but cant access them here at work sadly. thats my favorite part about blogging. well we love it here so far. cade works hard all day, and it pays off. he is doing awesome. i got a part time job in the office at night while cade is working (i mirror his schedule which is amazing.) we have been so blessed to have things work out so perfectly. so basically everyday until 4 o' clock, i look for another project to do, and then end up at the pool or the beach. such a hard life. the weather here is amazing and we have loved spending all of our free time doing fun things outside. family back home, i miss you dearly. i can't wait to steal a weekend away and come sleep on the floor since every bedroom is now full again!! that's about as much updating as needed for now. love from the west coast.

i love this boy. i am so blessed to have him as my husband. he is so patient with me, and he loves me unconditionally. he laughs at me when im goofy and dumb and he is willing to do things he doesnt want to just to make me happy. i am excited to go on our first real adventure together next week. isn't he so hot?

now i need to stop putting it off and go pack.

beautiful sunny day called for the first picnic in the park of the year! it was so nice outside we couldn't resist. after getting great news about our tax returns, we decided to splurge at panda express and 7 eleven to get some orange chiggen and m&ms. we couldn't leave without climbing the "tree of life" (it seriously looks like it in the winter all lit up.) Cade did need a boost up though... or at least an attempt of one. sometimes, ok a lot of time, i think i am stronger than i am.

me and cade are obsessed with DIY and HGTV. We dream of flipping houses and creating all of these ideas... but you need lots of money for that. You also need a lot of money for adorable house decorations. Well, I am going to take on some projects of my own and save us some bucks. The first one is a paper book wreath (inspired by my friend Kendal). I have seen this, I have loved it. I started researching blogs for one I love and I found it! I just started today. We will see how it goes. The project total is a whopping $2. I will post the rest of my projects as they come. I need to get back to my wreath!

I am feeling very grateful for the amazing people in my life. Recently me and Cade were able to go on two cruises, and some fun sg weekends. The first cruise, thanks to Cade's boss, which was a blast. And then the second, thanks to my amazing parents. They have been so gracious enough to continue to take care of me even after I have gotten married. They do so much more than we would ever expect, and I hope they understand how grateful we are and that someday we can repay them!! Love you guys. I will post more about the cruises and add pictures soon, I promise.

This was my first year spending love day with an actual valentine!! Usually my valentines day consists of gifts from my cute parents. Always given to us in cute creative ways. Every year I looked forward to this! Well this year I found a boy. An adorable boy. A not so romantic one though.. or so I thought. (I got the cheesy, hopeless romantic side from my dad.) Cade and I are trying to be really good with our money right now, so we decided to spend 5 dollars on our gifts for each other. Well Cade said he had to leave to make my gift. And he spent a solid 6 hours working, too busy to even talk to me throughout the day. He came home all disappointed saying his gift didnt work out and he didn't even want to show me what it ended up being. So I walked into our bedroom and our bed was covered with origami pink and yellow hearts! He had spent 6 hours trying to make me a bouquet of origami roses based off of youtube videos and wiki.how, only to find it is way harder than it looks. So he settled for hearts! (he spent the 5 dollars at the paper store). It was so cute. But the best part of the night was when he serenaded me, after months of begging, with my own personal song. it wasn't cheesy, just absolutely adorable. It was the perfect first valentines together!! Yes. I want a blog. I caved in. It may not last long, but I wanted a place to talk about my amazing life. Never have I been so blessed. Or so happy!!! Me and cade are just beginning the best part of our lives. We have so many adventures ahead of us. We are headed into the unknown soon and there is no one I would rather be doing this with! We are lucky enough to have fun no matter what we are doing. I figured this could be a good place to put our pictures and tell about our sweet experiences as they come. That's all for now.
